Motorola DROID Turbo Android 5.1 Lollipop soak test is now live – Could expect final build sometime next week
Last month, sources stated that the Motorola DROID Turbo which is on the Verizon network in USA will receive the update to Android Lollipop 5.1 sometime in June. Just as we reported, the soak test update is now rolling out and users can expect a final build sometime next week.

The Motorola Moto Turbo, the Indian variant of the Verizon exclusive DROID Turbo has just received a new firmware update. While the phone will still be running on Android Lollipop 5.0.2 after the update, it brings about performance and stability improvements.

Motorola DROID Turbo to receive Lollipop update in June
The Motorola DROID Turbo that is available in the USA on Verizon’s network was launched in India as the Moto Turbo in March. The Moto Turbo came preloaded with Android Lolliopop 5.0 out of the box. The DROID Turbo and the Mexican variant known as the Moto Maxx still haven’t gotten the update though and are still running on KitKat 4.4.4.

Motorola to release three new colors for the DROID Turbo on May 28th
Motorola’s DROID Turbo which is on the Verizon network will be receiving three new colors on 28th of May. To be specific, the DROID Turbo will be available in the Ballistic Nylon back in grey color along with three different choices of accents.

Introduction
When Google announced the Nexus 6, there were two main issues that customers complained about. One was the pricing which was unusually high for a Nexus phone and secondly its size. The device housed a 6 inch display and made it one of the biggest phones on the market. While phablets are getting more and more in demand these days, 6 inch is still considered to be quite big unless you’ve bezels as slim as LG has managed on their G2/G3 and the Sharp Crystal series. That is why most manufacturers such as Samsung haven’t gone beyond 5.5” or 5.7” for their phablets fearing it may be deemed too large.
