Twitter confirms to be working on ‘Hide Tweet’ feature

Twitter confirmed that it is developing a new “Hide Tweet” feature which will give users an ability to protect their conversations. This new option is found in Twitter’s code and appear in the list choices when you click the “Share” button on a tweet. “Hide Tweet” might work as an alternative to muting or blocking a user, while still offering some control over a conversation. Twitter reports $909 million revenue, 24% YoY growth and 126 million monetizable daily active users in Q4 2018

Twitter, Inc. has announced financial results for its fourth quarter of 2018 which had total revenue of $909 million, an increase of 24% year-over-year. The company’s advertising revenue totaled $791 million, an increase of 23% year-over-year. Twitter’s total ad engagements increased 33% year-over-year and the cost per engagement decreased 7% year-over-year. Twitter acknowledges bug that exposed protected Tweets of some Android users for years

Twitter for Android has been effected with an issue where ‘Protect Your Tweets’setting has been disabled if a certain amount of changes were made. The company says that it is aware of the issue and users may have been impacted by this issue if they had protected Tweets turned on in the settings, and made certain changes to account settings such as changing the email address associated with your account between November 3, 2014, and January 14, 2019.
