New version of Google Wallet coming soon

Rumor: Android 4.2 to be released in a few days as an incremental update for Jelly Bean

Everyone is excited about the next Nexus and also the next version of Android. Rumors are going around that the next Nexus will be announced with a new version of Android, maybe 4.2. But according to software versions spotted on server logs  show that that Android 4.2 will be coming out sooner than expected, within about two weeks and it might be an incremental update for Jelly bean and not Key-Lime Pie as we were expecting it to be.

Nokia Belle Refresh update now rolling out, already available for Nokia N8 in India

After a long time, finally all Nokia N8, E7, C7, C6-01, X7 and Nokia Oro customers are going to rejoice. Nokia support has just posted on their Nokia Discussions support forums that they have just started rolling out the update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511. Nokia E6 will have FW version number 111.140.0058. It is already available for the Nokia N8 in India. Jelly Bean now available for Nexus S users via OTA upgrade

Google has now made the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean available for Nexus S users via an over the air upgrade. The download weighs in at about 114MB and has been restricted to being a WiFi only download.

Samsung begins rolling out Android 4.0 tablet updates

Post the Android 4.1 announcement at Google I/O a few days back, Samsung has finally begun the Android 4.0 update roll out to its tablet lineup. Starting off with the Galaxy Tab 7.7, the rest of the devices still stuck on Honeycomb should get the update shortly.

All Sony tablets to get ICS update by end of May

Sony has confirmed in an interview with CNET that all variants of its tablet line will be getting the Android 4.0 ie ICS update by the end of May. This includes the Tablet S and Tablet P devices. The Sony tablets have been well received for their good hardware. The Tablet P is a unique dual screen device which folds up for enhanced pocketability.

Microsoft confirms WP7 app compatibility with Windows Phone 8

Via a blog post , Microsoft’s Larry Lieberman reassured developers around the world and confirmed that all current Windows Phone apps will continue working with future versions of the fledgling operating system. Backwards compatibility is a sign of “commitment to the developers” according to Lieberman.
