Today, we bring you the unboxing of Micromax Canvas Turbo, the latest and greatest from Micromax in the highly popular canvas series of devices. Hugh Jackman was a huge score for the company as it plans to push its limits beyond the Indian borders. Announced in October for a price of Rs. 19,990, the phones marquee features are its full HD display, its quad core 1.5 GHz MediaTek MTK6589T processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM. With quick successions to the flagship range, how does the Canvas Turbo differ from the Canvas 4 and the Canvas HD? Intex Aqua i7 Unboxing

The Intex Aqua i7 is here and we are unboxing it for you. Launched way back in September, with a price tag of Rs. 21,900, the phone has been prominently featured in a lot of advertisements. The device had not hit the retail market at that time but the company has finally caught up and released it, and yes, we have received our unit too. The unit sits inside quite a large retail box, which we were astonished to find it to be bigger than a standard smartphone retail box of even big phablet devices. How big? Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550 Unboxing

Spice might have concentrated more on the retail side recently, but the phones do keep coming. Among the newer ones that released recently is the Spice Pinnacle Stylus Mi-550 that comes with a 5.5 inch screen and more importantly, a stylus. Priced at Rs. 15,999, this is easily a direct competitor to the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 that comes with similar specifications. The official Apple iPhone 5c (check out our review!) case is here! After facing much ridicule over its similarities with the popularly hated Crocs flip flops, it has landed in our office, in a matching blue colour that actually goes nicely with our blue iPhone 5c. Like all the official cases, we must say that this case too, is made of high quality materials. Apple iPhone 5c Dock Unboxing

Every iPhone needs its own dock, that’s Apple’s mandate and the newly launched iPhone 5c is no exception. But there are a couple of reasons why there’s a new dock for the iPhone 5c, which is seemingly just a plastic shell with the same internals as the 5. Well, technically yes and I have answered the question right there. It’s a new plastic shell and with difference in build comes difference in thickness and weight. But the thickness is more of the concern here. While you might be able to use the iPhone 5’s dock for the 5S, it is impossible to do so for the 5c, and hence why we picked one up from Hong Kong for our blue iPhone 5c. Panasonic P11 Unboxing

Panasonic might have announced its retirement from the consumer smartphone market worldwide, but weirdly enough, that has not stopped the company from launching devices in India. One of them is the Panasonic P11, which seems like a specced down version of the P51 that we reviewed earlier. The P11 has almost the same specifications as the P51, with a quad core 1.2 GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, but running on the older Android 4.1 operating system. But what’s striking is the outer shell, in a radical fluorescent green colour. But not to worry, there are replaceable covers in the box, which we show you in the unboxing video here –

Nokia Lumia 2520 Photo Gallery

Nokia’s device division might be acquired by Microsoft soon, but that hasn’t stopped the company from bringing back its mobility vision in computers back into its portfolio. We saw the yesteryear Booklet 3G, which was one of the very few notebooks that could use a SIM and now we see a similar vision in the LTE enabled Lumia 2520, one of the first tablets to launch without a WiFi-only variant. It’s a bold step by Nokia, wanting to fill the void created by WiFi only tablets that are seemingly used only at home. Launching it with a beautiful power keyboard as an accessory for some extra bucks, the tablet envisions portable productivity with standard Nokia influences in hardware showing off. Watch this – Was Apple’s iOS 7 created in Microsoft Word?

Much has been said about Apple’s iOS 7. The radical new change in the user interface launched for the public recently and it had surprised a lot of people, with most of them caught off guard. With the official and final release, more critics chimed in on how Apple got it all wrong. The animations caused nausea, some reported, the icons were too ugly, others said. The reactions have been funny as well as serious enough for Apple to keenly take notice, or at least we hope. On the matter of icons, we would agree too. They looked amateur and frankly, didn’t look like the work of talented Apple designers in our opinion. But here’s a wild thought! What if Apple had used Microsoft Word to design iOS 7?

Intex Aqua HD Unboxing

Intex is fairly a newcomer in the Indian Smartphone market and it started launching Android devices much after Micromax or Karbonn, but now they have caught up with the lot by releasing MediaTek based devices under the Aqua range. We saw the cheapest Android 4.2.2 phone from the same company, and it even launched its flagship 1080p device – the Aqua i7. But today we have another 720p entry from Intex in the form of the Aqua HD. It sports a 4.7 inch HD screen and a 13 megapixel camera with an interesting design and build quality. HTC Butterfly S Unboxing

The HTC Butterfly S is currently one of the costliest phones available in India. It is even costlier than the already costly Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Launched in India on September 4th with a hefty price tag of Rs. 52,428, the Butterfly S has finally landed in our labs for some extensive testing. We were surprised to see the box was actually from Hong Kong, so we took the box in front of a camera and unboxed it right away. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched in India just a week ago, with much fanfare and a hefty price tag. Priced at a steep Rs. 49,990, the device has finally landed in the retail market in India and we have swiftly picked up one from nearby. We recently checked out the excellent benchmark scores of the Snapdragon 800 version but the version launched in India sports a Exynos 5 Octa(We’ll be posting benchmarks for this too), and that’s the one we are checking out today. A 5.7 inch 1080p screen, 3GB of RAM, one of the first USB 3.0 interfaces on a phone and a 13 Megapixel camera checks all the spec requirements for a top end flagship device. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 Unboxing

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 was launched in India a couple of months ago and we finally have it in our labs for testing. The updated version of the Galaxy Tab 2 311 has a new S3-inspired design and almost the same internals as before. The bezels have become shorter though, making it easier for one handed usage.
