So, we were intrigued and wanted to take a closer look at the device, and hence we did a photo gallery initially but now, here is the hands on video below.

Nokia Lumia 520 Hands On

We brought you the Nokia Lumia 520 photo gallery and having spent a bit more time with the handset, here’s our first hands on impressions of the phone. The Lumia 520 packs in 1Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm processor combined with 512MB RAM which delivers decent performance.

We didn’t face much if any lag at all though the limited amount of RAM means that you’ll be locked out of some of the high performance demanding applications on the Windows Phone app store.  Continue reading “Nokia Lumia 520 Hands On”

Nokia Lumia 720 hands on impressions – Sleek, sexy and youthful

The Nokia Lumia 720 was part of the new effort from Nokia to launch an attack on the fledgling mid range smartphone market. With the Lumia 620 already attacking a lower mid level pricing, there was still a massive gap between the 620 and the 820, and that is now filled by the Lumia 720. The Lumia 720 in short is very sleek, sexy and youthful. That description might apply to most of the Lumia devices but it is perfectly apt for the Lumia 720 and you’ll know why soon, when you read our hands on impressions after the break. But, before that, don’t forget to watch our quick hands on look at the Lumia 720 right here –

HTC Butterfly vs Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The HTC Butterfly is one of the recent 1080p devices that have gone and touched the 5 inch form factor in size, and hence it raises a new question. Is it too big for a smartphone? or is it too small for a tablet? I can already sense a lot of gasps after that question, but truth be told, that category has been invented by none other than Samsung, with its original Galaxy Note, with a 5.3 inch screen. Samsung upped its “phablet” game with the Galaxy Note 2, with the 5.5 inch screen, making it the only device that kinda bridges the gap between a phone and a tablet. Some manufacturers have followed suit, like Huawei, with its Ascend Mate, but with HTC releasing the Butterfly with a 5 inch screen, does it enter the phablet game? And what other differences arise between the Galaxy Note 2 and the Butterfly considering that they are the two of the three costliest devices in the market? Watch our in-depth video comparison to find out –

Nokia Lumia 920 vs LG Optimus G

We are looking at the Nokia Lumia 920 vs the LG Optimus G today. The LG Optimus G was one of the first devices to have been manufactured in collaboration with LG’s own companies like LG Innotek, LG Display and LG Chem and it is certainly one of LG’s best Android flagships till date. The Nokia Lumia 920 is Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone device and is probably the best Windows Phone on the market right now. So, how do they compare? Check out the in depth video comparison below and read past the break to know more.

Bluetooth file transfer on the Nokia Lumia 800 running Windows Phone 7.8

Earlier, we had reported that the latest update of Windows Phone for the current 7.5 devices, the Windows Phone 7.8 has started rolling out to the Nokia Lumia 800 worldwide. We had went ahead with a shortcut for getting the Windows Phone 7.8 onto the Nokia Lumia 800, by flashing an official copy from the Navifirm servers onto our devices. Our first attempt went in vain as we were not able to get the complete set of features that is supposed to have come with the Nokia specific Windows Phone update. So, we gave it another try, and then we had two new apps sitting on our device, Bluetooth share and Ringtone maker.
