LG is bringing WebOS to Smartwatches

Looks like LG let slip a few tidbits about an entirely new thing we weren’t even aware of. The Korean giant, which bought the beleaguered WebOS from Hewlett Packard, to later introduce them in its TVs, is now bringing it to Smartwatches. This has been revealed on LG’s own website, according to the Verge, which posted the screenshot above and two others, explaining the company’s new initiative. The picture above has the familiar WebOS bean bird that was used as a mascot for WebOS’ TV experience, but here it is carrying a watch, which obviously points to Smartwatches.

HP releases Android code for Touchpad

I am sure many people have bought the HP Touchpad during the fire sale, some people to use Android on it and some people just because it was cheap and needed a tablet, whatever reason maybe HP is rolling out the webOS 3.0.5 update for their Tochpad which is a clear sign that webOS is still not dead.

HTC coming up with it’s own OS?

HTC has been experimenting with the O.S used in it’s devices from a long time, it was the first company to adopt Android O.S, it also came out with devices running Qualcomm’s BREW  and has been running Windows 6.5 from long back, recently they  have also introduced devices running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7. Now we are hearing that HTC is looking to develop it’s own O.S, is this HTC’s reply to Google buying Motorola  or is HTC worried about future Android upgrades and it’s relation with Google? Reason could also be the recent lawsuit against HTC by Apple on HTC’s  Android devices.

Palm Pre 2 Gets The webOS 2.1 Update On Verizon

Verizon has finally started rolling out the webOS 2.1 update to the Verizon Palm Pre 2 smartphones. The new webOS 2.1 update comes with Voice Dial, Support for Bluetooth keyboards, Backup changes, Email fixes and much more.

Last year, HP launched the successor of the original Palm Pre smartphone, the Palm Pre 2. This handset originally runs on the webOS 2.0 and it was later updated to the webOS 2.1. This update was rolled out to the unlocked Palm Pre 2 devices in March, but the Verizon subscribers were left behind. HP TouchPad will touchdown in USA on July 1 for $499

The HP TouchPad webOS tablet which was rumored to hit USA in June has got an official launch date of July 1. The 16GB WiFi version will be available for $499.99 and the 32GB version will sell of $599.99. Pre-orders will start from June 19 in both USA and Europe. United Kingdom, Ireland, France and Germany will get the tablet few days after USA and Canada gets it in mid-July.
