If the Wall Street Journal  is to be believed then Apple might be about to give its cloud service a major functionality boost. At its annual WWDC event, the company is expected to reveal new photo sharing features and a social aspect which will include the ability to add comments to images stored in the cloud.

Steve Jobs to unveil iOS 5 , iCloud and Mac OS Lion at WWDC 2011 on June 6 2011

Looks like Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be presenting the keynote at the company’s annual developer conference (WWDC) which is set to start on June 6th 2011.  We would see the next version of iPhone OS – iOS5 which powers the iPad , iPod Touch and the iPhone.  There is no mention of a new iPhone but I’m sure we can expect some surprise. There is also a mention of iCloud which is expected to a cloud computing based service from Apple.

Steve Jobs to deliver Keynote Address at WWDC on June 7th

There was some speculation that Steve Jobs might not be at this years WWDC. Apple just announced that the Apple CEO will deliver the opening keynote address at WWDC the company’s annual developer conference. This announcement puts the rumors to rest. However no sign of new iPhone being announced on the same day. Will Apple have a seperate event for the new iPhone launch ?  June 7th is not too far away. We should find out soon.

Next Gen iPhone To Come With 5 Megapixel Camera

It is rumored that Apple will be shipping the next generation 5-megapixel iPhone during the second half of 2010. Omnivision Technologies, the supplier of CMOS image sensors for the iPhone has received bulk orders for supplying 45 million camera for the next generation iPhone, during 2010.

According to reports, it is rumored that Apple will be shipping the next generation 5-megapixel iPhone during the second half of 2010. A report at DigiTimes suggests that Omnivision Technologies, the supplier of CMOS image sensors (CIS) for the iPhone, that currently supplies the 3.2-megapixel CIS for iPhone 3GS, has received bulk orders for supplying 45 million CIS for the next generation iPhone, during 2010.

For the past 3 years, Apple has launched a new iPhone every summer, so it is expected that iPhone 4G will be launched during summer 2010.

iPhone 3.0 OS: New Features

Well over the last few years we have grown to love the IPhone and some people questioned whether Apple could really improve on the previous IPhone OS. Today Apple gave us a peek at the new IPhone OS which is schedule for release in the summer.

Below I have listed a number of the big enhancements to the OS.

  • Search your iPhone
    • So the folks at Apple created an app called “Spotlight”. Spotlight is a new home screen that you do all your searching from. Searching your calendar, email and notes are among the few applications you can search through.
  • Cut, copy, and paste
    • Of all the features that people have long been waiting for Copy and Paste is probably one of the biggest. It’s worth mentioning that you can select multiple pictures, copy them and then paste them into a new message.
