Xiaomi has announced that they donated over 1.1 lakh notebooks for underprivileged kids on the occasion of Children’s Day. After creating Guinness World Record by building the largest light mosaic (logo) in the world, back in September Xiaomi today announced that it has created a new Guinness World Record by inaugurating over 500 Mi Stores simultaneously at the exact same time. Located across 14 states, all new Mi Stores were collectively inaugurated at sharp 12 pm on 29 October, 2018, marking a first of its kind, unique achievement for the brand.
Xiaomi India has created new Guinness World Record by building the largest light mosaic (logo) in the world. Depicting its popular Mi logo, the light mosaic was laid out by assembling 9,690 bulbs. Xiaomi has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for selling 2.11 million phones online in 24 hours during its Mi Fan Fest in China yesterday. The company achieved this feat in just 12 hours. It earned revenue of 2.08 billion yuan (US$335 million approx.) in just 12 hours. It made 170 million yuan from accessories alone. It sold 720,000 units of smart appliances, 247,000 set of Mi Power Strip, 208,000 units of Mi Band, 79,000 units of Mi Wi-Fi and 38,600 sets of Mi TVs. It also sold 403,000 Power banks, 336,000 Mi Piston earphones and 3.12 million units of Mi air purifiers.
