Xiaomi just announced Mi 5c, successor of Mi 4c that was introduced back in 2015. It has the same 5.15-inch 1080p display from JDI with 1.6mm ultra narrow bezels and it is the first smartphone to be powered by Xiaomi’s own 2.2GHz Octa-Core Surge S1 processor that was introduced today. We have heard several rumors about Mi 5C over couple of months and now some more specifications of the phone and live images have surfaced on the website of China Quality Certification center. As per the listing, a total of five models of the Mi 5C – 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, MAE136 and MBE6A5, the MAE136 are mentioned in the list. The MAE136 is believed to be the Mi 5C, also code-named Meri.

Xiaomi Mi 5c, successor of last year’s Mi 4c codenamed Meri surfaced in live images recently. Geekbench listing revealed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 8, 3GB of RAM and an unknown 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860 MP4 GPU, now more specifications have surfaced that reveals 64GB of internal storage, 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Xiaomi Mi 5c, successor of last year’s Mi 4c has surfaced in live images in China. This coincides with earlier leaks that showed a fignerprint sensor on the front. The smartphone codenamed Meri that recently surfaced on Geekbench listing revealed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with MIUI 8, 3GB of RAM and an unknown 2.2GHz Octa-Core processor with Mali-T860 MP4, which could be Helio P15 that was seen in Moto M. Some rumors say it could use Xiaomi own Pine core processor.
