Xiaomi Redmi 6 64GB gets a price cut, 32GB version back to original price in India

After announcing price cuts for Mi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Redmi Y2 and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones, Xiaomi has announced a price cut for Redmi 6 smartphone in India. The 3GB+32GB version is back to the original price of Rs. 7999, after a price hike by Rs. 500. The 64GB storage version that was launched for Rs. 9499 has received a Rs. 500 price cut and is available for Rs. 8999. It is available at new rates on Flipkart, Mi.com and offline stores. Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A go on open sale in India

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in India back in September. Now the company has announced that the phones are available via open sale in the country. Even thoug the Redmi 6A 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version is now available for Rs. 6999 from Amazon.in in an open sale. However, the 16GB version will be available on Amazon.in for Rs. 5999 November 14th.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A MIUI 10 Stable update starts rolling out [Download link]

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 smartphones in India earlier this month running MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo) update. After the Redmi Y2, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Mi 5 and Redmi Note 5, the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 users have received the stable MIUI 10 OTA update today. Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 6, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series and the successor of Redmi 5 that launched earlier this year, as it had promised. It has a 5.45-inch HD+ display 18:9 aspect ratio display with 80.7% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 12nm processor and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI on top, packs a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI portrait shots. Xiaomi Redmi 6 series smartphones will launch exclusively on Amazon India on September 5

Xiaomi already confirmed that it will launch three new smartphones in the Redmi 6 series in India on September 5th. Now Amazon.in has confirmed that the phones will be available exclusively with them. The teaser shows only two phones, one with a notch and the other without it, so the third phone could be exclusive to Flipkart.

Xiaomi Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 6A launching in India on September 5

Xiaomi has posted a teaser confirming the launch of three new smartphones in the Redmi 6 series – Redmi 6, Redmi 6A  and the Redmi 6 Pro. The company already confirmed that it will not launch the Mi A2 Lite in India, so it will be launching the Redmi 6 Pro instead. The event is set for September 5th.

Xiaomi Redmi 6 announcement set for June 12

Xiaomi today confirmed that it will introduce its budget Redmi 6 smartphone at an event in China on June 12th. This is the successor of Redmi 5 that was announced back in December last year. Xiaomi smartphones with model numbers M1804C3CC, M1804C3DE and M1804C3CE got certified by TENAA last month, so this could be the Redmi 6.

Xiaomi smartphones with 5.45-inch 18:9 display, single / dual-rear cameras, Android 8.1 get certified, could be Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A

Xiaomi M1804C3CC, M1804C3DE and M1804C3CE models have been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals  a 5.45-inch HD+ screen, Android 8.1 (Oreo) and 5-megapixel front camera for these smartphones. The M1804C3DE model has dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back, so it could be Redmi 6, and the other model without a fingerprint sensor and single rear camera could be Redmi 6A.
