Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A, successor of last year’s Redmi 5A in India back in September starting at Rs. 5999. However, at the launch the company said that the pricing is complimentary and it will increase in a couple of months. It also increased the price of 16GB version by Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 for the 32GB version last month. Now the company has cut the price of the phone back at launch prices of Rs. 5999 and Rs. 6999. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in India back in September. Now the company has announced that the phones are available via open sale in the country. Even thoug the Redmi 6A 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version is now available for Rs. 6999 from Amazon.in in an open sale. However, the 16GB version will be available on Amazon.in for Rs. 5999 November 14th.

Xiaomi just launched the Redmi 6A, the company’s latest budget smartphone in the Redmi series and the successor of last year’s Redmi 5A in India, as it had promised. It has a large 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display with 80.5% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 12nm Quad-Core SoC with up to 2GB of RAM, has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera both with AI Portrait mode, AI beautify, polycarbonate back panel with a brushed metal-like finish.
Xiaomi has posted a teaser confirming the launch of three new smartphones in the Redmi 6 series – Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Pro. The company already confirmed that it will not launch the Mi A2 Lite in India, so it will be launching the Redmi 6 Pro instead. The event is set for September 5th.

Xiaomi M1804C3CC, M1804C3DE and M1804C3CE models have been certified by TENAA in China. This reveals a 5.45-inch HD+ screen, Android 8.1 (Oreo) and 5-megapixel front camera for these smartphones. The M1804C3DE model has dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back, so it could be Redmi 6, and the other model without a fingerprint sensor and single rear camera could be Redmi 6A.
