Xiaomi has started rolling out global stable MIUI 6 update for the Redmi Note 3G smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 1S got the MIUI 6 update earlier this month. The company introduced MIUI 6, a major upgrade to MIUI ROM last year, but only few Mi devices run on the stable MIUI 6 ROM. 50,000 Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphones went on sale on December 2nd, and it sold out in 6 seconds in the first flash sale. The company has announced that 75,000 Redmi Note smartphones would be available for sale on second flash sale today on Flipkart at 2PM. Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphones went on sale again on Flipkart yesterday without registration. The company said that the the sale will last till the stocks are over. Mi India announced the Redmi Note smartphone in India at the Mi 3 launch event back in July. Today at an event in Delhi, the company has announced that the smartphone would go on sale at Rs. 8999 on Flipkart starting December 2nd. It would be a flash sale similar to the Mi 3 and the Redmi 1S, and the registrations for the sale would begin tomorrow, November 25th at 6PM. This is Rs. 1,000 lesser than the price Xiaomi announced last month, just like it did for the Mi3 and the Redmi 1S smartphones. There is a separate chartered plane to bring Redmi Note units later this week. This is the fourth time the company is bringing units from China to India using a chartered plane. Mi India has finally sent out invites for the launch event of Xiaomi Redmi Note smartphone. The launch event is scheduled for November 24th in Delhi, but it is likely to go on sale only in the first week of December, since the company would be selling the Redmi 1S smartphone on Tuesday, November 25th. It was confirmed earlier this week and comes with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology and 178-degree wide viewing angle, powered by a 1.4 GHz / 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with 28mm lens with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone in the Redmi series got certified in Tenna in China last week. Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi Tech has confirmed that the phone would called Redmi Note / Red Rice Note and would feature a 5.5-inch HD screen and an octa-core MediaTek MTK6592 processor. As you can see from the image, it has capacitive touch buttons that glows in Red and a LED notifications light on top.
