Xiaomi Redmi Y2 gets another price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 8999

After announcing price cuts for Mi A2 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones earlier this week, Xiaomi has announced second price cut for the Redmi Y2, selfie-focused smartphone in the country, after its first price cut in November this year. After Rs. 1000 price cut, the Redmi Y2 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version now costs Rs. 8999 and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is available at Rs. 10,999. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi Y2 MIUI 10 Beta testing to start soon

Xiaomi announced Redmi Y2 running on MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo 8.1 and also announced MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM at the same event back in June. The company recently launched Redmi 6 Pro running on MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo 8.1 in India along with Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 on 5th Sep. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 MIUI 10 Stable update starts rolling out

Xiaomi launched Redmi Y2 running MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo back in June, in the same event company also announced MIUI 10. Xiaomi started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM in mid-June but said that stable roll out will start in September. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 with 5.99-inch 18:9 display, dual rear cameras, 16MP AI front camera, Android 8.1 launched in India starting at Rs. 9999

Xiaomi just launched the Redmi Y2, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in India, as expected. It is the version of the Redmi S2 which was introduced in China last month. It packs a 5.99-inch HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 625 with up to 3GB RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with MIUI 9 on top, has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera to capture depth information for AI portrait shots. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 with 3GB RAM, Android 8.1 surfaces in benchmarks ahead of India launch on June 7

Xiaomi recently scheduled an event on June 7th in India to launch a new Redmi smartphone. The Redmi S2 that was recently introduced in China was expected to be launched as Redmi Y2, as the successor of last year’s Redmi Y1, now the benchmarks of the smartphone has surfaced that confirms that it will be called the Redmi Y2.
