Google has updated YouTube mobile apps that adds three new tabs – Home, Subscriptions and Account to offer even better mobile experience for the users. Back in September at the Android One event Google announced that YouTube will get offline playback in India. Now the feature is available for YouTube for Android in India. This lets you add videos to watch it offline by selecting an icon below the video or by selecting Add to Offline from a video’s context menu. Once added, an available offline icon will be displayed below the video. There is a separate playlist called Offline, to view all the videos that are saved offline. Google seems to be hard at work in updating its Android apps as we have had leaks suggesting complete overhaul for its Gmail app and Calendar app. Google had also just launched its own Google Camera application on the Play Store yesterday and today, it has updated the YouTube application for Android.

Google has updated YouTube app for Android to version 5.5.27, that brings some features such as better search results, that now shows videos, playlists and channels, new tabs such as activity, videos and playlists on a channel and some bugfixes related to Google Cast. Google has updated the YouTube app for Android to version 5.1.10 that brings new video notifications feature that lets you receive notifications for new videos that match your interests. This update also brings promoted video to front and center and also adds advertisement from Google for some videos. YouTube for Android and iOS got a major update last month that brought a lot of new features including watch while you search, play all button in playlist and more. YouTube for Android has been updated to version 4.1.23 that brings new UI for Android Froyo and Gingerbread devices. The home page now shows recommended video on top. You can now add video to YouTube TV queue from the app and pick more channels from the YouTube picks. The new UI and Preloading features were released for Android 4.0 devices in June.
