YouTube disables comments on videos featuring kids; introduces new comment classifier

With an aim to improve child safety on YouTube, the company over the past week, we disabled comments from tens of millions of videos that could be subject to predatory behavior. YouTube removed 7.8 million videos and 224 million comments in Q3 2018


Back in April, YouTube had launched a quarterly YouTube Community Guidelines Enforcement Report as part of this ongoing commitment to transparency. YouTube starts testing New Explore tab on iOS [Update: Being tested on Android]

Update – August 30: A month after testing on iOS, YouTube has announced that the new Explore tab is now being tested on Android. It recently expanded to 2% of iOS users. The company might release it to everyone in the coming months based on the feedback from users since this is still an experimental feature.
