WhatsApp has pushed yet another update for its Beta app in android, bringing the version number to 2.20.110. It makes a few changes including renaming delete messages, testing support for multiple device login and reducing WhatsApp Status video length for Indian users.
In a recent update, WhatsApp Beta has started testing a feature called ‘Delete messages‘ that was introduced as part of its rumoured cleaning tools for deleting messages in Groups. Now, in WhatsApp Beta v2.20.83/v2.20.84, they are reportedly testing the disappearing messages feature for personal chats too.

WhatsApp for Android got dark mode feature in beta back in January, and it has been in the works for iOS for more than a year. Now WhatsApp has announced the roll out of dark mode for all the Android and iOS users. This lets users choose from light or dark theme. The dark theme is more like dark gray unlike pure black available in some apps. Chats appear with dark background, and your messages are shown in green bubbles. Whatsapp is reportedly testing a feature that enables disappearing messages, that will automatically remove messages after a certain period of time. The feature has been in development in Whatsapp Beta’s under different names and is part of Whatsapp’s cleaning tools.

iPhone users will now receive new updates for WhatsApp, bringing welcome features like call waiting, a redesigned chat screen and improvements to the Braille Keyboard. The update comes directly to the stable version of WhatsApp along with the group privacy features that were released earlier this month.

Earlier this year, WhatsApp rolled out new privacy settings for Groups that allowed users to choose who can add them to Groups. The feature was rolled out mostly in India initially and now, WhatsApp has started rolling out the group privacy settings globally for more users and also adds a new Blacklist feature.
Back in 2017, WhatsApp announced that it will continue to support Android 2.3 till 2020 and earlier this year, the company confirmed that it will stop support for Windows Phone at end of 2019. Now, WhatsApp has announced that it will not support iOS 8.0 and older, Android 2.3.7 and older from February 2020.
