Amazon has introduced the Fire HD 6 and has also upgraded last year’s Fire HD with a faster processor. The Fire HD 6 and H7 have 6-inch and 7-inch 1280 x 800 pixel displays, faster 1.5 GHz quad-core processors, 2MP rear and a VGA front-facing camera. These run on Fire OS 4 Sangria based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Both these have 1GB of RAM and come in 8GB and 16GB variants. These don’t have LTE support. Amazon launches new Kindle with touch screen in India for Rs. 5999
Amazon introduced the new Kindle Voyage and the upgraded Kindle in the U.S. few hours back, it has also launched the new Kindle in India. It has the same 6-inch ( 600 x 800 pixels) display at 167 PPI pixel density similar to the last year’s non-touch Kindle, but this has a touch screen, similar to the Kindle Touch. Amazon announces Kindle Voyage eReader with 300ppi screen
Amazon has introduce Kindle Voyage, the company’s new eBook Reader. The 7th generation of e-ink Kindle has a 6-inch display at 300 PPI pixel density and the the built-in light has a new display technology with higher contrast that makes it 39% brighter. It has a new light sensor on the top so that front light automatically adjusts the brightness of the display based on the surrounding light. Flappy Bird is back as Flappy Birds Family for Amazon Fire TV
Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen said in an interview back in May that he would bring back the game in August with multiplayer capability. He also said that the game would be less addictive than the original. Now the creator has released a new game, Flappy Birds Family for Amazon Fire TV, an Android box that was unveiled recently. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX tablet with Snapdragon 805 shows up in benchmarks
Amazon announced 7-inch and 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX tablets with Snapdragon 800 chips last September. Now a new 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX tablet with Snapdragon 805 has surfaced on AnTuTu database. According to the listing, it would be powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 GPU with Adreno 420 GPU and run on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) with Fire OS on top. Amazon unveils the Fire Phone with 2.2Ghz Quad Core processor, 2GB RAM onboard
At an event in Seattle, Amazon finally pulled the veil off its much awaited smartphone. Called the Fire Phone, it is meant to capitalize on the digital ecosystem that the company has created around the likes of its Kindle hardware and the new Fire TV. The phone runs a forked version of Android which at first glance appears to be very similar to the one on Amazon’s tablet efforts.
