Gionee has sent out invites for the launch of its Elife S7 in India on April 4th. The smartphone was announced at the MWC earlier this month and packs a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Amigo 3.0 UI on top. Gionee has announced Elife S7, the company’s latest smartphone in the S series. It is not the company’s thinnest smartphone, but it has magnesium alloy frame. It has a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The back cover is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Gionee India has announced that they have pushed a new Over-The-Air update for the Gionee Marathon M3 and Pioneer P6 smartphones. Update for P6 fixes the green shade and hanging issue while using whatsapp. It also gets notification management system, new lock screen widget for privacy issues and more. The Marathon M3 update adds new theme, fonts, updated music player and more. Gionee to introduce new ultra-slim smartphones at MWC 2015 on March 2

Gionee has announced that it will unveil new ultra-slim smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona next month. It unveiled the Elife S5.5 that was 5.5mm thick and introduced the Elife S5.1 that even entered into the Guinness book of world records in September since it was the slimmest smartphone at that time at just 5.1mm. It has introduced back in November last year when Gionee launched the CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE smartphones. The main highlight of the smartphone is the 2-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash. It has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Gionee launched the Elife S5.1, the company’s thinnest smartphone in India last month at a price tag of Rs. 18,999. It is the successor of the Gionee Elife S5.5 that was launched earlier this year. Even though it was called the world’s thinnest smartphone and even entered into the Guinness book of world records in September, it was dethroned by the Oppo R5 and later by the vivo X5Max that is 4.75mm thick. Gionee has launched CTRL V6L and Pioneer P5L LTE smartphone and has announced P4S and P6 smartphones. The Gionee CTRL V6L has a 5-inch HD screen, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Pioneer P5L has a 4.7-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
