Gionee has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its Elife E3 smartphone in India. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones. It has also added nine Indian languages. Gionee released KitKat update for its M2 smartphone back in September. It went on sale online in India few days back and packs a 5-inch HD display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Gionee Marathon M3, the company’s latest smartphone in the M series and the successor of Gionee M2 is now available from eBay in India. This packs a huge 5000mAh battery, compared to the 4200 mAh battery in the Gionee M2. It has a 5-inch HD display, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has the same 4.5-inch FWVA display, similar to the CTRL V4 that was launched last year, but this has a faster 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. Gionee GPad G5 launched for Rs. 14,999, CTRL V4S listed on official website

Gionne GPad G5, successor of the GPad G4 and the and CTRL V4S, an upgraded version of the CTRL V4 have been listed on the official website. The Gionee Gpad G5 is powered by a 1.5 Hexa-Core processor, otherwise most of the specifications have been downgraded compared to the GPad G4. It has a 5.5-inch 720p display. The CTRL V4S has the same 4.5-inch FWVA display, similar to the CTRL V4, but this has a faster 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and has 1GB RAM. Gionee M2 to get Android 4.4 KitKat update on September 5 in India

Gionee has announced that it will roll out the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its M2 smartphone on September 5th in India. It was launched back in February running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The company released Android KitKat update for the Pioneer P4 in India earlier this week. It rolled out KitKat update for the Elife E7 mini and Elife S5.5 smartphones in India few weeks back. Gionee Elife E7 mini gets Android 4.4 Kitkat update in India

Gionee has released the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) update for the Elife E7 mini in India. The company rolled out KitKat update for the Elife S5.5 and CTRL V5 smartphones in India earlier this month. Unlike the OTA update for those phones, update for the Elife E7 mini needs to be installed via flash tools. The Elife E7 mini went on sale in India back in April running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), and the KitKat update brings revamped user interface, enhanced features like an updated Amigo paper and game zone, wallpapers application, improved security and more. Gionee GN9005 gets certified, could be world’s slimmest smartphone with 5mm thickness

Gionee earned the tag of making the world’s slimmest phone with Elife 5.5. Now, the company has promised that its next smartphone will be even thinner. The Gionee GN9005 which is probably the name of the next smartphone will be just 5mm in thickness, meaning it will half a millimeter less than its predecessor Elife S 5.5.

Over the past few months, we’ve been consistently impressed by the offerings brought forth by Gionee. With a focus on bringing high end specifications at a mainstream price point, the company has mostly succeeded with the likes of the Elife E6 and E7.
