Gionee Elife S5.5 is currently the thinnest smartphone out there, but somehow Gionee managed to put a 13MP shooter on the back of the 5.5inch device although the 13MP module protrudes out considerably. The Gionee Eife S5.5 is powered by a MediaTek Octa-core processor and has a 5inch Super AMOLED display making it a higher mid range smartphone.

Gionee launched the Elife S5.5, the world’s slimmest smartphone in India back in March that went on sale recently. We already brought you the unboxing of the device. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Amigo 2.0 UI on top. Check out the synthetic benchmark results below.

It has a 4-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Gionee Elife S5.5 Unboxing
Back in February, just ahead of the Mobile World Congress, Gionee announced the Elife S5.5 which is currently the slimmest smartphone. The Gionee Elife S5.5 comes with a Full HD AMOLED display and is powered by MediaTek’s Octa-core SoC. It also comes with a 13MP camera module on the back. Gionee Elife E7 Mini Benchmarks
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini was unveiled alongside the flagship device, the Elife E7 at an event a few months back from where we’d brought you our first hands on. Powered by a 1.7 Ghz Mediatek MT6492 processor and paired with 1GB of RAM, the Elife E7 Mini is a decidedly less powerful device than the flagship. Gionee Elife S5.5 Photo Gallery
Gionee had introduced the world’s slimmest Smartphone, the Elife S5.5, to India, at a huge event in Goa today. Powered by a MediaTek Octa Core processor, the Elife S5.5 will sell for a price of Rs. 22,999, but that tiny detail aside, the device is all about design and engineering. The svelte frame, machined at a stunningly thin 5.55 mm of thickness makes the device look really appealing to see as well as touch. Sporting a 5 inch 1080p screen, the device looks like a sleek slab from the front as well as the sides. It’s styled well, with a minimalistic approach to design, and evidences of it being too thin show up, especially with the camera module. The frame itself is an engineering marvel, as we had seen when we went hands on with the phone at the Mobile World Congress event, where it was introduced to the world. Today, we had our chance to have a look at it again, but this time, without the intrusive cables. Skip past the break for some photos of this gorgeous device.
