Gionee Elife E3 gets an OTA update in India, adds new camera features, new apps and more
Gionee launched the Elife E3 in India back in May. We reviewed the device last month that runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Gionee has announced that they have started rolling out a over-the-air (OTA) update for the device. This update doesn’t upgrade the Android version but brings new Camera features including new modes picture clear, best picture, muli-angle shots and beauty effects. This also adds online wallpaper, support for Indian cities in the weather app, new du batter and Gionee Xender apps. Gionee Elife E6 with 5-inch 1080p display announced, coming soon to India
Gionee has finally announced the most expected Elife E6 at an event in China just now. The Elife E6 packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display based on one-glass solution (OGS+) technology, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589T processor and runs on Amigo ROM Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with f2.2 wide angle lens, BSI sensor, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f2.4 wide angle lens. The phone is 7.9mm thick and has just 2.54mm thin bezel around the display. It weighs just 128 grams. Gionee has launched the Elife E5, the company’s latest smartphone in the Elife series. It has a 4.8-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED Plus display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash, 1080p HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle lens for better imaging. Gionee Elife E6 with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 13MP camera coming soon
Gionee has started teasing their upcoming Elife E6, successor of the Elife E3 on their Facebook page. The company’s flagship smartphone in the Elife series would feature a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and come with a 13-megapixel rear camera. According to the website mtksj, the phone has a Mediatek MT6589T processor with 357 MHz PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Gionee CTRL V4 with 4.5-inch display, quad-core processor, Android 4.2 launched for Rs. 9999
Gionee has launched the CTRL V4, successor of the CTRL V3 in India. It has a 4.5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. Gionee launched the Elife E3, the company’s latest Android smartphone last month. We brought you the photo gallery of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. Gionee GPad G2 Photo Gallery
Cashing in on the popularity of giant sized Android phablets, Gionee has introduced a new entrant in the field called the GPad G2. We’ve got our hands on the behemoth with a 5.3 inch screen and decided to bring you a photo gallery while we put it through its paces.
The GPad G2 is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad core processor that is paired with 1 GB of RAM. The screen has a resolution of 960×540 and is called a True Color display.We’ll have more on this in our review. At the back of the phone there is an 8MP camera that can capture 720p video.
