It packs a 5020mAh battery with dual charging chips that offers up to 1 day of usage with just 1 hour of charging. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button that promises response time of 0.1 seconds and recognition time of 0.38 seconds. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus in just 0.1 seconds and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Gionee recently announced that it will introduced its new ‘M series’ smartphone, the M5 Plus on December 21st. This is expected to be the GN8001 that got certified by TENAA last month. According to earlier listing the smartphone will come with a 6-inch Full HD AMOLED display, pack 3GB of RAM and a 5020mAh battery. Now a new report from China has revealed that the smartphone will come with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button.

Gionee Elife E8 Review
It’s been a long while in the making. The Gionee Elife E7, the erstwhile flagship of the company was launched way back in 2013. Its now almost two years since the day and we are finally getting our hands on the Gionee Elife E8. Sure, it was announced back in June but that has perhaps made the wait harder still. There are improvements all around and it is clear that Gionee has learnt a lot from their first effort however the competition too has improved. The smartphone ecosystem is no longer the same and it remains to be seen if the Gionee Elife E8 and it’s accompanying Amigo OS are competitive enough. We’ll find that out in our review. Gionee is a raising brand and has been one of the biggest gainers in the market over the past year or so.
