Huawei Ascend G700 Benchmarks

Huawei launched the Ascend G700, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in the G Series last month, here we have the benchmarks. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589 processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI on top. Huawei has unveiled the Ascend Y530, the latest smartphone in the Y Series in Europe. It has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8210) processor with Adreno 203 GPU and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS with Huawei Emotion UI on top. Huawei Ascend P6 S with 4.7-inch 720p display, 1.6 GHz quad-core processor launched in China

Huawei has launched the Ascend P6 S, the successor of last year’s Ascend P6 in China. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display based on in-cell LCD screen technology, similar to the Ascend P6, but this one is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 2.0 on top. Huawei unveiled the MediaPad 7 Youth last year, now the company has unveiled MediaPad 7 Youth2, successor of the first MediaPad Youth tablet . It has a 7 -inch (1024 x 600 pixels) 5-point multi-touch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snadpragon processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot, 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera.

Huawei introduces its first 64bit octa-core SoC

Huawei CEO, Richard Yu, took to Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo, to announce the company’s new offerings in the mobile processor segment. The new chipsets includes two octa core chips and a quad core SoC.

Back in October we reported that Huawei would launch four new Android smartphones, G700, G610, Y511 and Y320 in India soon. These phones went on sale online at the end of October. Now, Huawei has launched these phones officially. The Ascend G700 packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The G610 has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8628) processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 1.6 on top. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G officially unveiled, packs LTE and a 13 MP camera

Huawei has just unveiled the Ascend Mate 2 4G at their CES 2014 press conference today in Las Vegas. The refreshed Ascend Mate, which was one of the first 6 inch devices to enter the world of phablets the same time last year, packs the same 6.1 inch 720p display, with a supposedly better IPS panel and finally incorporated 4G LTE inside. The Ascend Mate 2 4G is also slightly thinner than its predecessor and boasts a 200 MHz increase in clock speed featuring the 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. Sporting a new 13 MP BSI sensor on the back, it improves upon the 8MP one on its predecessor and also comes with a 5 MP front facing camera this time around.

Huawei Ascend W3 rumored to be unveiled during CES 2014

Among the plethora of home appliances and tech gadgets that are announced and ready to be shown off at the CES 2014 in the coming days, there are rumors circulating that Huawei will announce a Windows Phone device in Las Vegas during CES 2014. This information falls nicely in place after Huawei announced their commitment towards the Windows Phone platform in September and they seem to be undisturbed by the fact that Microsoft now owns Nokia which holds more than 90% of the WP market share.

More Huawei Ascend Mate 2 images leak, likely to feature the same 6.1-inch 720p screen

Last week images of the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 surfaced, but the display resolution was not confirmed. Now Engadget Chinese reports that the Ascend Mate 2 would have the same 6.1-inch 720p screen present on the Ascend Mate, but this would use a faster 1.6 GHz processor and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Emotion UI on top. More images of the phone confirms the 13-megapixel rear camera through the camera UI on the phone. The images show shiny back with patterns and chrome finish on the sides. Huawei launched the Ascend Mate in India back in June, which was one of the best mid-range large-screen smartphones at that time. Now, images of the Ascend Mate 2 has surfaced on weibo from the popular C Technology. According to the images, the Black phone is the Ascend Mate and the White one is the Ascend Mate 2. According to the leaked image, the Ascend Mate 2 has a narrow frame with a smaller bezel. It is also likely to come with brushed metal frame, but this might just have a plastic build that looks like Metal, says the user. Now the company’s president has revealed on Weibo that it is planning to release the Ascend P6S with an Octa-Core K3V2+ processor.
