Huawei had been teasing the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone on their official Facebook page for over a week, now the popular Twitter user evleaks have leaked the specifications of the device. Images of the phone leaked back in May. The device would reportedly come with a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, 4 cm macro which takes macro shots closer than most of the smartphone cameras, 5-megapixel front-facing camera with face enhance option and a new Emotion UI. Huawei Ascend Mate gets priced in India at Rs. 28900

We already reported that the Huawei Ascend Mate would launch in India priced under Rs. 30,000. The phone has now been priced in India at Rs. 28,900 on online retail website Flipkart. The Ascend Mate has a 6.1-inch 720p display, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean)  with Huawei’s EmotionUI 1.5 on top. It is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 198 grams. Who are the top five smartphone makers in the world? Samsung and Apple would be anyone’s guess. Evidently, because of their dominant presence in the market and ever rising sale figures. LG follows next in ranking. Who do you reckon follows in the 4th spot? Blackberry, Nokia or HTC? Well, its Huawei. The Chinese telecom company is the fourth largest smartphone maker in the world, by units !

Yet, why is it that you and I rarely see a Huawei phone in Indian stores, when shopping for the latest smartphone ? Why is it that the 4th biggest smartphone maker is not visible in one of world’s biggest smartphone market? Huawei hopes to change this brand image, soon. Starting this month, Huawei will begin introducing its star smartphones and tablets, in India. The Chinese phone maker has slotted a bunch of big launches in the next quarter, too.

First up is the Huawei Media Pad 10 Link that was launched in India recently. A 10.1 inch screen tablet priced at just Rupees 24,990/- . The Media Pad 10 runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor. Operating system is the Android 4.1.

Huawei has officially launched the MediaPad 10 Link, the company’s latest flagship Android tablet in India. It went on pre-order in India last week. Huawei is calling it ‘the mini theatre’. It has a 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Huawei Hi-Silicon Processor with 16 Core GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. It has 3G support via SIM card slot,  Dolby Surround Sound and packs a 6600 mAh battery that promises 6 hours of continuous gaming or 8 hours of continuous video playback. Press image of the Huawei Ascend W2 has surfaced online. The phone appeared on a Chinese forum last year and specs of the phone appeared last month. The Huawei Ascend W1, the company’s first Windows Phone 8 device leaked last October, which as unveiled at the CES 2013 earlier this year. Huawei has confirmed that the company would launch the Ascend Mate in India soon priced under Rs. 30,000. Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate along with the Ascend D2 earlier this year at the CES 2013.
