Lenovo has launched 5 new Android Smartphones, K860, S880, S560, P700i and A60+ in India as we reported previously. Lenovo is a company that most people associate with personal computers. It’s easy to see why. They purchased IBM’s computer business in 2005 and quickly started overtaking competitors such as Dell and HP. Today they’re the world’s largest PC maker and we’d even go far as to say that they make the best PCs (Apple’s portfolio not included) on the market. But there’s a small problem. The world isn’t as hungry for personal computers as it once was. PC sales are actually declining, down over 8% year on year according to the research firm Gartner. Windows 8 might fix things, but people seem to be quite scared of Microsoft’s new tile based user interface and the high learning curve it demands. Lenovo has launched IdeaTab S2110 at IFA 2012. It is an upgraded version of the IdeaTab S2109 that was announced in April. It has a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) in-plane switching (IPS) display and is powered by 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060A Processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5 MP Auto focus camera LED flash at the back and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. It is 8.69mm thick and weighs 580 grams. Hot on the heels of the FCC listing, The Verge has managed to get its hand on marketing documents for the upcoming Windows 8 tablet. Named as the ThinkPad Tablet 2, it will be powered by the dual-core Intel Clover Trail processor.

Lenovo’s upcoming ThinkPad branded Windows 8 tablet just made a stop over at FCC for testing. Engadget previously got their hands on the tablet at Computex and report that the 10.1″ tablet is powered by an Intel Clover Trail CPU.

Lenovo ThinkPad tablet has received the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India. It is also available in United States, UK, Europe and other countries worldwide. Lenovo launched the ThinkPad Tablet in India last October and announced the ICS update for the tablet earlier this February. This update would offer improved browser with save it for later option and Voice input that would let you dictate text. There is no Face Unlock feature as they announced. Lenovo has launched LePhone K800 powered by 1.6GHz high-performance Intel Atom processor and 400MHz GPU in China. It was announced at CES 2012 earlier this year. It has 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TFT LCD touch screen display, 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording and Dual LED flash, 1.3MP front facing camera. China Unicom , the second largest carrier in China is about to become the second carrier to get access to the latest Lenovo smartphone. Powered by Android 4.0 ie Ice Cream Sandwich , the device is called the LePhone S680. The handset has recently undergone the required certification process which has revealed most of its specifications.

Lenovo has unveiled IdeaTab S2109, their new tablet running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on their YouTube page. This tablet is just 8.9mm thick with unibody shell and comes with 9.7-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) IPS display with 4:3 aspect ratio, similar to the iPad and iPad 2 models.
