LeEco (formerly Letv) launched the Le 1s smartphone in India at a competitive price tag of Rs. 10,999 at an event last week. We already checked out the phone at the announcement in China back in October last year. We finally managed to get hold of the smartphone, here is the unboxing.

LeEco (formerly Letv) has launched the Le 1s smartphone in India, along with the Le Max, as expected. It was announced back in October last year and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p display with slim bezel, which is just 74.2mm wide, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 SoC and runs on Android Lollipop based on EUI 5.5. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) that can focus an object in just 0.09 seconds. At its preview event in Bangalore last month, Letv confirmed that the Le Max smartphone will launch in the country sometime mid-January 2016. Today it has sent out press invites for the launch event on January 20th. Even though the teaser just shows one smartphone, another teaser (image below) from their official Facebook page shows a smaller smartphone next to the large phone, so we can expect the latest Le 1s smartphone to launch in India, along with Le Max.

LeTV announced Le Max Pro which is the world’s first smartphone running latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, at CES 2016. A new leak from a Chinese website Mobile Dad has revealed a price for the phone that is expected to launch this year.
The big news from the Qualcomm’s press conference yesterday was that LeTV Le Max Pro would be the first smartphone to feature the new Snapdragon 820 processor.
The first wave of Snapdragon 820 smartphones will inevitably be announced at Mobile World Congress next month. But, first is first, let’s focus on the LeTV Le Max Pro. At its CES 2016 event Qualcomm showed off the Letv Le Max Pro, which becomes the first smartphone to be announced with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 processor and Qualcomm Sense ID Fingerprint technology that will offer more secure authentication on mobile devices. Snapdragon 820 also has 802.11ad multi-gigabit Wi-Fi and X12 LTE with Cat. 12/13 download speeds of up to 600 Mbps. Other features are similar to the Letv Le Max that was introduced last year.
