MediaTek Dimensity 800U to power 5G smartphones in India starting January 2021

MediaTek introduced its Dimensity 800U mid-range 5G SoC back in August and it powers several 5G smartphones in China. At the India Mobile Congress 2020 the SoC announced for the Indian market and the company has confirmed that the first phone powered by the Dimesnity 800U processor will be introduced in January 2021. MediaTek MT6893 6nm 5G SoC gets benchmarked, reveals better performance than Snapdragon 865

MediaTek  announced Dimensity 700, the mid-range SoC with built-in 5G months earlier this month as well as MT8195 6nm SoC for premium Chromebooks, and the company already confirmed that it will introduce a new premium 6nm 5G SoC with Cortex-A78 CPU clocked up to 3GHz. After Geekbench scores that surfaced recently, now AnTuTu benchmark scores have surfaced that shows better performance compared to Snapdragon 865. MediaTek Dimensity 700 7nm 5G SoC for smartphones, MT8192 7nm and MT8195 6nm SoCs for Chromebooks announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 700, the company’s latest mid-range SoC with built-in 5G months after the Dimensity 720. It has two Cortex-A76 cores operating up to 2.2GHz and six power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. The MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology uses both network and content awareness intelligence to manage the modem’s operating mode in real-time to extend battery life. MediaTek MT9602 AI-Enabled Smart TV SoC announced; to power Motorola Smart TVs with Android 10

MediaTek has announced the launch of their newest AI-enabled Smart TV SoC — the MT9602. It is targeted towards smart TVs with 4K HDR displays, with in-built AI-enhancement technologies such as AI-PQ (picture quality) and AI-AQ (audio quality) along with support for HDMI 2.1a, global HDR codecs and more.

MediaTek Dimensity 1000C announced, powers T-Mobile VELVET 5G

MediaTek has announced Dimensity 1000C, 5G smartphone SoC which made its debut first in the United States on the LG VELVET on T-Mobile with 600 MHz and 2.5 GHz 5G spectrum. It has four ARM-Cortex-A77 CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating up to 2GHz and Five ARM Mali-G57 GPU cores. MediaTek Helio G95 with support for FHD+ 90fps display, HyperEngine game technology announced

MediaTek just announced Helio G95, the company’s latest mid-range Gaming-centric processor, which is the successor of the Helio G90T, which powers several smartphones. It has the same dual ARM Cortex-A76 CPUs operating up to 2.05GHz along with six Cortex-A55 power-efficient CPUs, but this has ARM Mali-G76 MC4 with up to 900 MHz offering 8% better GPU score in Manhattan 3.0 Benchmark and 5% increase in AnTuTu CPU benchmark score. MediaTek Dimensity 800U with support for Dual SIM 5G, up to 120Hz displays announced

MediaTek just announced Dimensity 800U, the company’s latest mid-range 5G SoC, a cheaper version of the Dimensity 800 that introduced earlier this year, but this comes with cutting-edge technologies such as 5G+5G dual SIM dual standby (DSDS), dual Voice over New Radio (VoNR), and 5G two carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA). With the MediaTek 5G UltraSave technology, the modem’s operating mode is managed based on network environment and data transmission quality, extending the battery life of mobile devices. MediaTek T700 5G modem to power Intel 5G laptops from 2021

MediaTek has announced new partnership with Intel to bring 5G to next-generation Intel laptops with MediaTek T700 5G modem. MediaTek said that it has completed 5G standalone (SA) calls in real world test scenarios. Intel  is readying co-engineering support for its OEM partners, said the company. MediaTek just announced Dimensity 820, the company’s latest mid-range SoC and an enhanced version of the Dimensity 800 that was introduced earlier this year. It has four high-performance Arm Cortex-A76 cores at 2.6GHz, compared to 2GHz in the Dimensity 800, while retaining the 2GHz Arm Cortex-A55 cores from the predecessor. MediaTek just announced Dimensity 1000+, the company’s latest flagship SoC and enhanced version of the Dimensity 1000 that was introduced last year.  It has built-in 5G modem with Carrier Aggregation, dual 5G SIM, and MediaTek’s 5G UltraSave power saving technologies that dynamically adjust the modem’s power configuration and operating frequency according to network conditions and user activities to significantly save power. MediaTek Helio G85 Octa-Core SoC with 1GHz Mali-G52 MC2 GPU officially announced

MediaTek has officially announced Helio G85 in the ‘G series’, which is an enhanced version of the G80 series which was announced back in February. It is targeted at mid-range gaming smartphones and features MediaTek’s HyperEngine game technology to boost the mobile gaming experience. It packs dual ARM Cortex-A75 and hexa Cortex-A55 CPUs with the ARM Mali — G52 2EEMC2 with speeds of up to 1GHz and is based on 12nm TSMC FinFET technology. MediaTek Dimensity 1000 SoC to feature first ever hardware AV1 video decoder

Recently, AV1 (AOMedia Video 1) is gaining popularity thanks to its royalty-free licensing model and good compression rates for content. However, the codec has largely been absent for streaming content on the smartphone due to the lack of a decoder. That is about to change as the MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 1000 5G SoC has an integrated hardware AV1 decoder.
