Nextbit Robin gets latest Android security patch, several fixes and improvements
Nextbit started rolling out June update for the Robin smartphone that brings several fixes, improvements and also some features. The new update enhances loudspeaker volume, adds two custom ringtones and also includes Android security patch for June. The smartphone got Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) update back in April along with expanded emoji set, processor tuning and more. Nextbit has launched Robin, the company’s cloud-first smartphone in India, as it had promised. By merging cloud and on-board storage, the Robin backs up apps and photos and intelligently archives the stuff that are not frequently used and easily restores items when you need them. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, is powered by Snapdragon 808 chip with 3GB RAM and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). Nextbit Robin launching in India on May 25
Nextbit just sent out invites for the launch of Robin, its “cloud first” Android smartphone in India on May 25th. It finally received regulatory approval from the government earlier this month and also started shipping for Kickstarter backers in the country. Tom Moss, CEO and Co-Founder of Nextbit and Shankar Parasaram, Head of India Operations will be present at the event.

Later was released in the US through Amazon at a price of $399. Nextbit Robin gets Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update, releases AIAIAI TMA-2 Headphones
Nextbit has released Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) update for the Robin smartphone that brings improved processor tuning for better battery life and better performance, new and faster camera app and new sound tuning at the driver level by Arkamys. It has also partnered with AIAIAI to release TMA-2 headphones especially for Robin.
