NVIDIA today at its CES 2016 event, introduced DRIVE PX 2, world’s first in-car Artificial Intelligence (AI) supercomputer. It utilizes deep learning on NVIDIA’s GPUs for 360-degree situational awareness around the car, to determine precisely where the car is and to compute a safe, comfortable trajectory. It has two next-gen Tegra processors or 12 CPUs cores, capable of 8 teraflops of processing power and 24 teraflops of deep processing operations, two next-gen discrete GPUs, based on the Pascal architecture that deliver up to 24 trillion deep learning operations per second. Nvidia Shield tablet K1 starts receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

Nvidia had promised that Shield Tablet K1 will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by the end of this year and the company is keeping its promise. The latest Software Upgrade version 1.0 is the first major update since its introduction last month.

NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet X1 with Tegra X1 SoC, 3GB RAM surfaces in benchmarks

NVIDIA introduced the SHIELD tablet K1 last week at a cheaper price of $199. Now the SHIELD tablet X1 has surfaced in GFXBench benchmarks revealing a similar 8-inch Full HD display, but this will be powered by the latest NVIDIA Tegra X1 Octa-Core (4x ARM Cortex A57 + 4x ARM Cortex A53) 20nm processor with 256-core Maxwell GPU. NVIDIA introduces SHIELD tablet K1 with 8-inch Full HD display, Tegra K1 SoC for $199

NVIDIA introduced SHIELD tablet last year starting at $299, but it went out of stock on NVIDIA ‘s website shortly after the company recalled some units in late July this year for posing a fire hazard due to overheating batteries. Today it has released an updated version of the tablet as SHIELD tablet K1 with minor changes that includes, silicon grips that will make it easier to hold and of course a new battery, just in time for the holidays. Nvidia Shield Android TV and streaming console now available for order

Nvidia announced its Shield Android Android TV and streaming console in March and today the device is officially going on sale. The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS.

NVIDIA has announced its SHIELD gaming console at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS. It will have over 50 Android titles optimized for SHIELD, including Crysis 3, Doom 3: BFG EditionT and Borderlands: TPS. This is the the world’s first Android TV console, which delivers video, music, apps and games to the home, says the company. Nvidia holding an event on March 3, successor of Shield Tablet expected

Nvidia has started sending out press invites for an event on March 3 where it will unveil a product that the company claims is “five years in making”. The invite reads that the product will “redefine the future of gaming” and the event will take place in San Fransisco.

Nvidia Tegra X1 Mobile Super Chip with 256-Core Maxwell GPU announced

NVIDIA has announced the Tegra X1, the company’s latest mobile processor at the International CES 2015 in Las Vegas. It is the successor of last year’s Tegra K1 chip and is based on NVIDIA Maxwell architecture. This 8 CPU cores the includes four ARM Cortex A57 CPU cores and four ARM Cortex A53 cores. It has 256-core Maxwell GPU that promises much better GPU performance than Tegra K1 at the same power of less than 10 watts. NVIDIA already announced that the Shield Tablet would be updated to Android 5.0 (Lollipop) soon. Now it has announced that the update would be available as early as this November, so we can expect the roll out to begin in the next few weeks. It has also released a video that shows the new Android 5.0’s Material UI along with Material redesign for NVIDIA’s Shield Hub and Dabbler apps. Pre-order for Nvidia Shield Tablet with 4G LTE and 32GB storage goes live

Nvidia Shield tablet was announced in July this year with only a 16GB and 32GB variant. At that time, the company had said that it will make the 32GB variant available later this year and now it has gone live for pre-order.
