POCO India acknowledges POCO X2 ‘camera not working’ issue, suggests solution
After a lot of complaints from POCO X2 users in India regarding the ‘camera not working’ issue, POCO has acknowledged the issue, saying that it has been reported by less than 0.2% of the total POCO X2 user base in India. For the affected users, the company has asked to follow the software solution protocol mentioned and added that this should fix the problem for the majority of the devices. POCO just confirmed the launch of the company first 5G phone in India, the POCO M3 Pro 5G on June 8th. As usual, it will be sold on Flipkart after the launch. It was introduced for global markets last month and is actually a version of the Redmi Note 10 5G with a new design. Redmi AirDots 3 Pro could launch in select markets as POCO Pop Buds / Redmi Buds 3 Pro
Xiaomi under its Redmi brand introduced the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro in China last week. Now the headset has been certified by Bluetooth SIG with the model number TWSEJ01ZM. There are also two other products Redmi Buds 3 Pro and POCO Pop Buds with the same model numbers, so the AirDots 3 Pro could launch outside China under these names. Xiaomi reduces MIUI Security app animations for low end devices
Xiaomi proprietary Android skin MIUI offers a security app that has various features including Cleaner, Speed Booster, WhatsApp Cleaner, and a lot more. The app got a major overhaul with MIUI 10, but Xiaomi baked in various animations to the Security app with MIUI 12. These animations didn’t probably work smoothly on the low-end devices, as Xiaomi has decided to ditch the animation with the new version of the Security app. Xiaomiui, a Xiaomi-focused blog, took it to Twitter to share the screenshots from the new Security app.

MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program announced for POCO X3 Pro, POCO X3, POCO F3, and more globally
POCO got an independent identity last year, but the company still uses Xiaomi’s proprietary Android skin – MIUI for all its devices. Though, POCO, based on community feedback, has added some features on top of MIUI and hence calls it – MIUI for POCO. Xiaomi had announced MIUI 12.5 Global a couple of months back at a mega global event.
Get Android 11 on POCO F1 with OxygenOS Port
POCO F1, launched back in 2018, has almost reached EOL in terms of official software support. The smartphone has already received two major Android version upgrades – Android 9, and Android 10 since its launch. Though POCO F1 is expected to receive MIUI 12.5 update in the next couple of months, it will remain on Android 10.
