Sony Xperia NXT family hands-on

Sony announced two new Xperia NXT smartphones at MWC a couple of days ago and today we had a chance to go hands-on with the new devices, the Xperia P and Xperia U, alongside the already announced Xperia S. Read on for our hands-on impressions.

With the new Xperia NXT family, Sony has introduced a new design language that looks stunning. While the new Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U were developed under Sony Ericsson, the far reaching influence of Sony are clear. The translucent bar near the bottom of the phones for example reminds me of a couple of their Bravia TV models with ‘floating’ frame construction. Read on for our hands-on impressions.

Sony Xperia P and Xperia U available for pre-order in UK, coming on April 23

Sony announced the Xperia P and Xperia U at MWC earlier this week at MWC, and Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia P has 4-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and uses WhiteMagic display technology for an Ultra-bright power efficient viewing experience, 8MP auto focus camera with Geo-tagging. The Xperia U is the mid-range devices that has 3.5-inch scratch-resistant TFT Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 5MP camera with HD video recording. Sony SmartDock for Xperia P announced

Sony has announced a SmartDock, multifunctional docking station exclusively for the Xperia P smartphone that was announced earlier today. It offers  connectivity to multiple screens, turning the smartphone into an entertainment hub for the living room. Using a TV remote control users can easily navigate their smartphone’s media content to watch their HD videos, the latest movies or favourite TV shows on the big screen. Sony Xperia P Announced with 4-inch display, 8MP Camera and NFC

 

Sony has announced its new upcoming smartphone, the Sony Xperia P at the company’s press event held at MWC 2012 Barcelona. The phone comes with an Aluminium uni-body, and features a dual-core processor, 4-inch WhiteMagic display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p video recording and GPS. Sony Xperia U announced with 3.5-inch display and 1 GHz Dual-core processor

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia U. It has similar design as the Sony Xperia S but it is a mid-end smartphone. It has 3.5-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and 1 GHz dual-core processor. It is NFC enabled and has changable colour caps at the bottom of the phone. It has xLoud and 3D surround sound audio technology for crisp and loud listening. The transparent element illuminates to match the colour of photos viewed in the gallery or the album art of music tracks currently playing.
