Chinese manufacturer Vivo has introduced a new ‘V’ series of smartphones in India. The company announced two smartphones – Vivo V1 and Vivo V1 Max – on Tuesday saying that these will be priced between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, and will hit stores later this month. vivo entered into the Indian market few months back with the vivo X5Max with 4.75mm thickness. The company also launched a range of smartphones along with the X5Max that includes the vivo X Shot X710. The X Shot has top-end specifications and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies. There is a dedicated shutter button as well. Vivo just launched the Vivo X5Max, the world’s slimmest smartphone with 4.75mm thickness in India, as it promised. It was announced in China last week and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with 3.98mm narrow bezels, powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and runs on Funtouch OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The Vivo X5Max becomes the world’s slimmest smartphone with 4.75mm thickness, slimmer than the 4.85mm Oppo R5 smartphone that was announced in October. Just a few weeks back we saw the Vivo X5Max being certified in China and now it looks like the handset is making its way to our shores. Arguably the world’s slimmest handset, the phone has a thickness of just 4.75mm. This makes it slimmer than the already wafer thin Gionee S5.1.
