Xiaomi would partner with online retailer Flipkart to launch its smartphones in India, according to a report from BGR India. The company is selling its smartphones in other countries through its own online stores. Motorola tied up with Flipkart to sell the Moto G and Moto E in India. Flipkart imported the Motorola devices, but Xiaomi will import the smartphones and Flipkart would sell them, according to the report. Xiaomi India website goes live ahead of launch
Popular Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi is expected to make its debut in India very soon. Ahead of the launch, its website has gone live that proves to be rather short on details but does help create a bit of buzz around the launch. Xiaomi is also making its presence felt via their official Facebook page.
The launch of the website and the company’s India specific social properties makes us believe that Xiaomi devices might go on sale sooner than the Diwali time frame that has been hinted at previously. Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note in Taiwan yesterday, which will go on sale in the country starting from June 27th through e Commerce site PChome. Xiaomi announced Hongmi, a budget smartphone back in July last year. It was introduced in international markets as Redmi. Due to its aggressive pricing the smartphone was hugely successful in China and other markets where it was introduced. Xiaomi Mi 3 launched in Malaysia, Redmi 1S coming in June
Xiaomi started its operations in Singapore recently and announced that it would expand to 10 more countries this year, including India. Today, at an event Xiaomi’s CEO Lin Bin and Hugo Barra launched the Mi 3 in Malaysia. Xiaomi has finally announced MiPad, the company’s first tablet as expected. It has a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi, manufactured by Sharp / AUO and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, powered by a 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU and runs on Android-based MiUI ROM optimized for tablets. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens, Sony BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Xiaomi confirms Indian entry along with 9 other countries
Xiaomi, the Chinese manufacturer known for its unique business model of selling its devices directly, announced its global expansion plans, starting with the hire of Hugo Barra, an Android executive from Google. Months after he joined, Xiaomi started its operations in Singapore, and ever since, we have been expecting more countries to be added to the list. Very recently, Xiaomi’s CEO Lin Bin and Hugo Barra visited Google’s MD in India, signaling a trigger of its operations here. And the company just announced it on Twitter, along with 10 other countries, where it will launch next.

Upcoming Xiaomi Mi3S expected to come with Snapdragon 801 and better build
Xiaomi is one of the few recognized Chinese manufacturers and because of their growing popularity, they are planning to expand globally and they are expected to come to India too. Xiaomi’s currently flagship is Mi3 and it comes with the near top of the line specifications and comes in solid build. Xiaomi Mi-3 was announced in September and was launched in December 2013.

Xiaomi will soon be directly selling phones in India
Ever since Xiaomi, the popular smartphone manufacturer from China, laid out plans for expansion to Singapore, we knew that India was coming. As a confirmation to this, we have a Cnet interview of Hugo Barra talking about the company’s impending entry into the burgeoning Indian smartphone market and a tweet from the head of Google India, who had a meeting with Xiaomi’s Lin Bin and Hugo Barra as a part of the ongoing initiative. Xiaomi recently launched in Singapore, its first market outside China, and looks to expand rapidly to become a true global player.
