It has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor with Mali 400 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Acer has just announced that Acer Iconia A1-830 tablet after teasing it for the past few days. It has a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) LED-backlit IPS display with 178 degree viewing angle and 4:3 aspect ratio and is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology. It has a aluminum metal back cover and sturdy frame for enhanced durability and weighs 380 grams. Android version is not available yet, but it is likely to run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Last year Intel unveiled Quark X1000, a range of small SoCs aimed at wearables. CEO Brian Krzanich has revealed that Intel would unveil innovative wearables at CES, according to his interview with Recode. Intel would introduce new SoCs in the Quark chip family and a range third-party wearable devices powered by the Quark chip at CES in Las Vegas next week, says the CEO. ZTE has announced that it would unveil the Grand S II, the successor of Grand S that was unveiled at the CES 2013 last year. Lenovo Vibe Z (K910), the company’s latest flagship smartphone surfaced in China back in October, and it was officially announced in November last year. Now the company has revealed the pricing for the LTE smartphone and announced that it would go on sale in select countries starting from February 2014. The Vibe Z has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display at 400 PPI, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Vibe ROM on top. Archos has announced two new smartphones, 50 Helium 4G and 45 Helium 4G with 4G LTE support head of CES 2014. The 50 Helium 4G comes with a 5-inch HD capacitive touch screen IPS display and the 45 Helium 4G has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Camera 2, successor of the first Galaxy Camera. The Galaxy Camera 2 has a 16.3 Megapixel 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor, 21x Optical Zoom Lens along with OIS support. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi, powered by a 1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). This has a lightweight, retro design, has WiFi and NFC but lacks 4G LTE or 3G support that was present in the first camera. Archos, popular for its Android smartphones and tablets has announced that it would unveil a range of SmartWatches at the CES 2014. These SmartWatches would lets you connect to both Android and iOS smartphones and would start under 50 GBP (Rs. 5,100), said the company. We saw the pebble Smartwatch with E-Ink display. Samsung introduced the Galaxy Gear earlier this year and Sony came up with SmartWatch 2. But the Archos SmartWatch would be cheaper than all these. Apple introduced iOS in the car back in June 2013 for iPhone screen mirroring on compatible in-car displays. Google would partner with Audi to develop in-car entertainment and information systems based on Android, reports WSJ. The partnership is expected to be announced at the CES 2014 in Las Vegas next week. Audi is also expected to demonstrate new technologies that allow cars to drive themselves in certain situations and for short periods, and is expected to announce the roadmap of new models that would arrive in the next four or five years, the report adds. Asus released the first teaser for the CES 2014 last week titled” Green or Blue? One or Two?”, which hinted at Android and Windows dual-boot tablet. The company posted teaser 2 titled “What’s your number?” recently, which has different colored balls with numbers 4, 5 and 6 that hits at smartphones or phablets with different screen sizes. With CES just around the corner, Samsung has already started teasing what it has planned up for CES 2014. SamsungExynos’s Twitter account has teased asking if we are ready to #UnlockExynos. With UnlockExynos, it could possibly mean that Samsung are planning to update their current octa-core solution to true octa-core. Samsung was the first company to announce an octa-core processor and it featured in the Samsung Galaxy S4 which was launched earlier this year.
