Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c with 4G come to China Telecom

Earlier this year, when Apple launched their latest and greatest iPhone – iPhone 5s, they also introduced a more colorful, but less powerful iPhone 5c. After a lot of talk with the Chinese telecom players, Apple introduced the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c in China right from the launch date. However, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c have not been available at China Telecom which is the world’s largest mobile network. Apple and China Telecom have announced that the new iPhones – iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c are coming to China Telecom on January 17, 2014.

Xiaomi plans to expand beyond China – Singapore first, hopefully India next?

Xiaomi, the company that was recently in the news for insane flash sales and earlier, for the hire of Android VP Hugo Barra, has laid out plans to expand beyond China. Singapore is one of the first markets in which Xiaomi is targeting for its full fledged operations, as a part of its expansion to South East Asia. Hugo Barra was appointed as the company’s VP of global operations and it seems like his work is now in full swing. Xiaomi’s top executives were recently in Taiwan for a fan gathering, addressing their huge fan base with quizzes, oversized T-Shirts and even a performance from Hugo Barra, who sang and danced to a popular Taiwanese song!

Qualcomm announced its own Smartwatch – the Toq with a Mirasol display back in September, which would go on sale in the U.S. for $349.99 starting December 2nd. Now the Appscomm Fashioncomm A1 Smartwatch has used the same on its own Smartwatch. The Mirasol technology enables an always-on 1.55-inch MEMS display with the battery life lasting more number of days than a standard display. Apart from the usual set of features seen in the Smartwatch including a G-sensor for pedometer and Bluetooth, this also has a micro SIM slot to make and receive phone calls and read or send text messages. ZTE nubia Z5S and nubia Z5S mini launched in China

ZTE has launched two new Android smartphones, nubia Z5S and nubia Z5S mini and their LTE variants as we reported last week. The nubia Z5S has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) IPS display at 440 ppi with 2.67mm thin bezel, powered by a 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The nubia Z5S mini has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels)  IGZO display, powered by a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Both these smartphones have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, full HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Remember the Samsung Galaxy Golden that was released in Korea back in July ? We brought you the hands-on photo gallery of the device recently. Now the Samsung SM-W2014, a new flip phone has surfaced in China. The phone would have dual 3.67 inch (800 x 480 pixels) Super AMOLED displays, powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Internal memory and the battery capacitiy are not available yet. We had already seen Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with dual SIM support in China last year. Now a Vietnamese website has posted images of a Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9002) with dual SIM support. This would be available exclusively for the operator China Unicom. The dual SIM version of the Note 2 had one micro SIM and a normal SIM, but the Note 3 has two micro SIM cards, similar to the other recently dual SIM smartphones from Samsung. Asus has finally announced the new Padfone Infinity at an event in Taipei as they promised last week. The new Padfone Infinity is the fourth device in the Padfone series that lets you dock the phone in the Padfone station to convert it into a tablet. The new Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display similar to the last-gen device, but this is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Xiaomi has announced the most expected Mi3, successor of the Mi2 that was launched last year. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 441 PPI, based one-glass solution (OGS) ultra-sensitive touch that lets you use the phone even when it’s wet or while wearing gloves. It comes with 1.8 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with 72 core GeForce GPU for the TD-SCDMA variant and 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974AB) processor with Adreno 330 GPU for the WCDMA / CDMA2000 version. It runs on MIUI v5 on top of Android. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS BSI sensor, 28mm lens with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel BSI front-facing camera with 30mm lens. Meizu has just announced the MX3 in China after several rumors. It is the successor of the MX2 that we reviewed recently. The MX3 has a 5.1-inch (1800 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 415 PPI resolution, powered by a octa-core Exynos 5410 processor and runs on Flyme OS 3.0. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor RS BSI sensor,  f/2.0 aperture and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is a flip phones that has a pair of 3.3-inch (320 x 480 pixels) touch screen displays, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. It comes with dual SIM support (CDMA + GSM) and packs a 1500 mAh battery. The font display lets would perform all the actions easily since it has touch screen support and comes with capacitive touch buttons. It also comes with ChatON messenger. Huawei has announced the MediaPad 7 Vogue, the company’s latest tablet in the MediaPad series. It has first mentioned at the  official MWC press release back in February and leaked in March. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS display, similar to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite that was launched in India last November. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core K3V2 HiSilicon processor with 16 Core graphics and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.5 on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calls. It has a 3-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and has sleek aluminum metal unibody design. Samsung Galaxy Trend 2 and Trend 2 Duos with 4-inch display, Android 4.1 announced in China

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Trend 2 (SCH-I739) and the dual SIM variant, the Galaxy Trend 2 Duos (GT-S7572) in China along with the Galaxy Win. Samsung has also announced the Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082)in China, that we reviewed recently. These look like souped up versions of the Galaxy S Duos. These have a 4.0-inch (480 x  800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). These have a 3-megapixel rear camera.

It has a 4.7-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) TFT display, run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Touchwiz and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. It has a 5MP Auto Focus Camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera.  It has dual SIM support with dual standby and dual SIM Always On feature. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Dual-SIM support surfaces in China

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 2 at IFA, which is expected to arrive in UK in mid-October. Now, Galaxy Note 2 with Dual SIM support and Dual Standby has surfaced in China for the operator China Unicom. This phone would come with a normal SIM slot and a micro SIM slot, other than the microSD card slot, as you can see in the image above.
