Motorola has launched the Moto E, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It has a 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on the latest Android 4.4.2 (KitKat), upgradable to future Android versions. Samsung Galaxy S5 Review
For the past 4 years, there is an event that most phone geeks look forward to; the announcement of the latest Samsung Galaxy S flagship. Ever since the launch of the original Galaxy S smartphone which was a big success for a flagship device at the time, we have all waited to see what Samsung brings in new every year with the successor to the previous model. Samsung have a history of providing a do it all device with every feature you could imagine packed into a single device. Naturally this year also everyone expected the same.
Each year Samsung manages to sell more and more of it’s flagship device and this year it’s expecting to do the same. However it does have some fierce competition from the likes of HTC and Sony. Only time will tell how it stands against them but let’s take a look at the S5 and how it performs.
Motorola Moto E confirmed through import export listing, rumored to cost Rs. 8999
Last week Motorola scheduled two separate events in London and India on May 13th to unveil its affordable smartphone. According to a listing on Zauba, Indian import/export website, Moto E (XT-1022) has been imported from China to Bangalore few days back. This was first spotted by AndroidOS. Since the phone has already been imported, it is expected to go on sale soon, after it launches on May 13th. Lenovo Vibe Z Multi Window demo
Ever since phablets launched, there has been a push for scaling and an increase in the information density on those screens, irrespective of resolution. There has been a push to adopt the, initially clunky, Multi Window system that allowed an user to have two different apps, or more recently, two different instances of the same app. all on the same screen. It made sense for some tasks such as using the calculator and having your expense notes on the same screen, or a voice recorder and a notes page for quick typing of notes on the same screen. It all makes sense if you specifically perform those tasks, and they work great. Other manufacturers have been giving it a go and Lenovo too has followed suit with its own implementation on its flagship smartphone, the Vibe Z. Here is a video demo of it –

HTC One M8 Launch Event Live Blog
Taiwanese phone maker HTC is holding an event in New York City and London today to announce the much expected successor to the HTC One. FoneArena is reporting live from the New York edition of the launch event. Samsung Galaxy S5 launching in India on March 27th
Samsung announced their next flagship S series smartphone in MWC 2014 as Galaxy S5, and it is going to be available across 150 countries from April 11th. But just like Galaxy Note 2, India will get the Galaxy S5 before the Europe and USA. The India launch is in this week, and the date is March 27, 2014 same as Malaysian launch date. So on March 27, Galaxy S5 will get announced in India with price and exact model availability (Snapdragon or Exynos Octa Core) but the actual availability of Galaxy S5 is around April 11th globally including India. Lenovo Vibe Z Camera Review
The Vibe Z is the Lenovo’s flagship device which is all set to launch in India soon. It is an improved variant of the previous flagship, the K900, in many ways. Sporting improved internals, we were pretty happy to see that Lenovo has stuck to the same camera and lens unit as the K900. A 13 megapixel Sony sensor with the fastest f1.8 lens still has a lot of untapped potential, so we tested it on the road, while in travel to see how it performed in actual use – capturing moments from a trip. Nokia X Dual SIM Android smartphone launched in India for Rs. 8599
Nokia has launched the Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). It was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona, last month and packs a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM8225) processor and runs on Nokia X software platform 1.0 based on AOSP Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Nokia X Android smartphone launching in India on March 10th
Nokia unveiled the Nokia X, the company’s first smartphone built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) at the MWC 2014, few weeks back. Nokia has just sent us an invite for the Nokia X India launch. Even though the invite doesn’t mention anything clearly, the “Xperience a new beginning” in the invite and the green color, clearly states that it would obviously launch the Nokia X at the event.
