Nokia’s gaming centric handset , the Nokia X7 is now available in India. We spotted a few units at the Priority Dealer where we could take a demo piece for a spin. The X7 comes with a 4″ AMOLED screen and runs Symbian Anna. The camera is an 8MP EDoF unit. The unit comes with a 8GB microSD card in the package and supports upto 32GB of memory. The phone has been priced at Rs 22,000.

At the Nokia Connection 2011 event in Singapore today , Marko Ahtisaari, Senior Vice President , Design , Nokia introduced the Nokia N9 the first MeeGo phone from the company. The design looks incredibly awesome and we can barely wait to get our hands on it. The UI works in a swipe based mechanism and uses no physical keys.

PocketNow has got their hands on the Press Images of the rumoured Nokia N9 / Lankku / N950 . The images almost confirms that the device will be a Touch only device without a QWERTY keyboard. Full specs or a final name is still not out, but the handset is likely to arrive in Pink, Blue and Black. The Samsung Galaxy S II – successor of the popular Galaxy S and brand new flagship device from Samsung. Whenever I bought a new device, Samsung has been one of the contenders, but ultimately some things never quite appealed to me, so I ended up either getting HTC or Nokia.
Samsung sure raised some eyebrows when they announced the SGS II, sporting some impressive features like a Dual Core ARMv7 1,2GHz processor, a super AMOLED plus display, Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread and lots and lots more. Yes I was impressed too, and with the HTC Sensation being a good device, but not completely what i wanted, I thought it was time to have a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy S II. There is a lot of demand for trial devices at Vodafone Austria (one could say now it is cause Samsung sent out a ridiculously low amount of devices), so my test period has shortened to just a week, so don’t expect an in-depth review, but rather some day-to-day impressions from the week i have spent with it. Samsung just announced the retail launch of its smartphone flagship , the Galaxy SII. The Android Gingerbread powered handset runs on a 1.2Ghz dual-core Exynos processor.
Foxconn’s Chengdu plant was recently in the news because of an explosion resulting from combustible aluminum dust stuck in the ducts in the polishing section of the plant. Two workers were immediately reported dead with as many as 16 others critically injured. Today another worker succumbed at a local hospital due to injuries from the explosion. Hon Hai Chairman Terry Gou meanwhile issued a statement that the explosion would in no way affect production of the iPad 2 while adding that products scheduled for Quarter 3 production would also be on track.
