Cat S50 rugged Android smartphone announced

Cat Phones has announced the Cat S50, the company’s latest high-end rugged smartphone for outdoors at the IFA. It is scratch-resistant, water proof, dust proof with IP67 ratings and can withstand even a drop onto concrete since it has Mil Spec 810G certification for impact resistance. It has a 4.7-inch 720p screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and wet-finger tracking, powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8926) processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). The Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition is designed to work specifically with the Note 4 to give the users a virtual reality experience on their mobile. Huawei has unveiled the Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition, a limited edition series at the IFA. It comes with a 5-inch with a full HD display with sapphire screen, which is the most scratch-resistant material. is the first 4G LTE handset in China with a sapphire screen, says the company. It has crack resistance, superior thermal and infrared conductivity. It uses high-tech ceramic at the rear of the phone to enhance the strength. The phone has a 5.6 inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) QHD Super AMOLED display that bends on the right side that utilizes 160 pixels and gives you access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality even when the cover is closed with the swipe of a thumb.
