Archos 10.1 XS2 + Keyboard Dock Hands On

During IFA 2013, alongside additions to its smartphone and other tablet ranges, Archos introduced the Archos 10.1 XS2 tablet that comes with a very cool ultrathin magnetic keyboard. The keyboard is a pleasure to use and slips away out of sight beneath the tablet (which can also be removed from the keyboard and carried around on its own).

Archos ChefPad Hands On

We’ve already seen companies like Samsung target the child-tablet market with the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids but at IFA 2013, we discovered that Archos may have produced an absolute gem of a tablet and created a market all on their own. Dubbed the Archos ChefPad, it is targeted towards professional chefs or those adults who spend a lot of time in the kitchen and like to follow recipes.

Archos 40 Titanium Hands On

At IFA 2013, Archos unveiled their latest Android smartphones and tablets and the Titanium range is the company’s entry level Android smartphone portfolio. Available with four screen sizes, the Archos Titanium range brings entry level specs to Android smartphones at a very affordable price and they’re actually not all that bad.

Archos Oxygen vs Samsung Galaxy S4

The Archos Oxygen aims to challenge the Galaxy S4 (amongst other smartphones) for crown of best 1080p Full HD smartphone on the market. Archos 50 Titanium Hands On

For every manufacturer, both big and small, there is a definite need to offer a variety of smartphones with different screen sizes. One of the most popular screen sizes at the moment, unless you’re Apple of course, is 5 inches which many manufacturers use for their flagship 1080p Full HD smartphones, like the LG G2 or Galaxy S4. However, at IFA 2013 as part of their Titanium entry level range, Archos unveiled the 50 Titanium to cater for those who want the big screen size without the hefty price tag.

Archos 53 Titanium Hands On

During IFA 2013, little known player Archos announced a range of new Android powered smartphones and tablets – the Titanium range is their entry-level offering and comes with dual-SIM functionality in four screen sizes. The Archos 53 Titanium is the largest of the bunch and sports a 5.3 inch TFT FWVGA display that has 854 x 480 pixels resolution – as you can imagine, the low resolution combined with large screen make for a relatively dull viewing experience.

Archos 80 Xenon Hands On

Everyone needs a tablet to use on the go and that’s Archos’ philosophy with the Archos 80 Xenon, their latest debutant in the 8 inch tablet class. At first you may take a look at the specs and be less than impressed and it’s easy to see why but it’s worth remembering that whilst the Archos 80 Xenon isn’t as good as the LG G-Pad 8.3 (which has the only 1080p display in the 8 inch class), it will still provide good value for money as it’s likely to cost A LOT less than its rivals. Archos is back in the smartphone race with a bang – that bang is the Full HD Archos Oxygen smartphone that boasts a stunning display without the hefty price tag and offers a lot of bang for your buck. Sony Xperia Z1 vs Nokia Lumia 1020 Hands-on
