Alcatel went all in for the smartphone market as they announced quite a lot of smartphones at the IFA 2013 in Berlin and among it was the affordable One Touch Pop series. Acer unveiled the Liquid S2, successor of the Liquid S1 and the company’s latest flagship smartphone ahead of IFA 2013, earlier this week, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is the company’s large screen phablet. Both are large screen phablets. The new Liquid S2 has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD IPS display with curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection, while the Z Ultra comes with a 6.4 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine. Both the phones are powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU.

HTC announced the mini version of their flagship, HTC One, back in July as the HTC One Mini and the phone was on display at IFA 2013 in Berlin. The HTC One Mini looks quite similar to the original HTC One, but comes in a smaller package and a less powerful package.

Acer launched their new flagship Acer Liquid S2 just ahead of the IFA and they had announced the Liquid S1 back in Computex which was a couple of months back. The Liquid S1 is quite a big device with a 5.7inch HD display. It comes with Dual-SIM capabilities and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek – MT6589. It has an 8 MP camera at the back along with LED flash and it is capable of recording 1080p videos.
