NTT Docomo launches 15-day free Japan Welcome SIM for foreign tourists
NTT Docomo has introduced new Japan Welcome SIM for those tourists that will be available from July 1st, 2017. The free SIM can be applied via a dedicated website prior leaving from your country and you can retrieve the SIM card from Narita, Haneda or Kansai International airport upon arrival in Japan. As a limited period offer till September 30, 2017, you get high-speed traffic of 100MB, after that you can use it in Plan Zero with a speed of 128kbps with video ads and surveys. KYOCERA rafre washable smartphone is resistant to foaming body soap and hot water
KYOCERA in partnership with Japanese operator KDDI has introduced rafre, which is its second generation of its washable smartphone. The successor of DIGNO rafre that was introduced back in 2015 as the world’s first hand-soap-washable smartphone has resistance against foaming body soap in addition to foaming hand soap. Like its predecessor, the new rafre features resistance to hot water and a touchscreen that be can be used even when the user’s hands are wet or when wearing gloves. KYOCERA DIGNO rafre is the world’s first washable smartphone
KDDI has introduced KYOCERA DIGNO rafre, which becomes the first smartphone in the world that can be washed by hand soap. You can even use hot water up to 43-degrees to wash the smartphone and it is waterproof with IPX5/8 ratings. It is resistant to impact such a fall from pocket or bag and has Dragontrail X glass that can protect the display from scratches. NTT Docomo to launch 225 Mbps LTE-Advanced service in March
NTT Docomo has announced that it will launch its LTE-Advanced service in Japan next month that would offer download speed of up to 225Mbps and upload speed of up to 50Mbps. It uses carrier aggregation technology that would allow the operator achieve its ultra-high speed download speed, which will be further accelerated to a maximum 300Mbps towards the end of the next fiscal year ending in March 2016. Japanese carrier au by KDDI has partnered with Kyocera and product designer Naoto Fukasawa to announce INFORBAR A03, the latest designer smartphone in the INFORBAR sreies. LG Fx0 Firefox OS smartphone with transparent body announced
LG has announced LG Fx0, the company’s first Firefox OS smartphone in partnership with Mozilla and operator KDDI in Japan. The main highlight of the smartphone is its transparent body. LG isai VL with 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 3GB RAM and VoLTE announced
LG introduced the Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI back in May. Today the company has refreshed the smartphone and introduced a new variant called isai VL (LGV31) with 3GB RAM and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support. Other specifications are similar to the Isai FL, including a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 13.2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Apple iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display coming to NTT Docomo in Japan on June 10th
Almost two months after launching the TD-LTE variants of the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display in China, Apple has announced that it would launch these iPads on Japan’s NTT Docomo network on June 10th. These iPads would use ultra-fast Xi LTE service and also lets you choose new billing plans with data sharing among family members and corporate users. NEC Medias W Dual Screen Android Phone Unboxing
You might have seen us getting intrigued by the NEC Medias W Android Phone at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, but we have finally got it with us, in our hands, the wacky yet innovative dual screened Android Phone. The two 4.3″ qHD screens are definitely the unique selling point of the Medias W. It presents really interesting opportunities and even future-looking ideas for a better implementation. Not to say this is bad, but it is really intriguing for a v1.0. We had gotten hold of a retail unit of this unlocked phone that sells only in Japan with a carrier tie-up(NTT Docomo) for 100 Mbps LTE.The device has the model number N-05E.The box contents are bare, but take a look at the device in action in the video below –
