GSMA cancels MWC Barcelona 2020 due to coronavirus concerns

Novel coronavirus outbreak has impacted a lot of people in China, and several companies already announced that are cancelling their major launch events at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 due to global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak. LG cancels MWC 2020 event over coronavirus concerns [Update: ZTE will participate as planned]

Earlier this week GSMA that conducts Mobile World Congress (MWC) events every year announced that it continues to monitor and assess the potential impact of the Coronavirus and said that there is minimal impact on the event. It confirmed that MWC event will happen in Barcelona from 24 to 27, February 2020 as planned. It also said that it has implemented many measures to help to mitigate the spread of the virus and is continuing to add other actions regularly. Realme smartphones to get VoWiFi starting this month, New realme phone for India launching at MWC 2020

Today, in the 14the episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has confirmed that realme smartphones will get VoWiFi or Wi-Fi Calling support via update starting from this month. realme X2 Pro will be the first phone to get the update next week. Other phones will get the update in February and March.

NFC goes mainstream at the GSMA MWC 2013, Barcelona
