Huawei Ascend D quad, world’s fastest smartphone announced

 

Huawei has announced the Huawei Ascend D, that they claim to be the world’s fastest smartphone. It comes with 4.5-inch 720P high definition IPS+ touchscreen display with 330 PPI and Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz / 1.5GHz processor that has 16 core GPU that offers 2X performance. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP BSI rear-facing camera with 1080p full HD video-capture and 1.3MP front-facing camera.It has Huawei’s proprietary power management system which provides up to 30% in energy savings and has Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound. Huawei Ascend D quad, world’s fastest phone to be showcased today?

So with Huawei MWC conference will be starting in just about an hour but their in news already with someone spotting the Huawei Ascend D quad poster at the Barcelona airport. What’s interesting is that below the device, it carries the tagline “World’s fastest phone”. Wow, I think that is a bit too much, because we will also be having the HTC and the Sony conference today so I think yes, it might be the fastest smartphone for about 3-4 hours.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Beam, projector smartphone the successor of their previous Beam. It has 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 5MP Auto focus camera with flash, 1.3MP secondary camera. It is 12.5mm thick and weighs 145.3 g. Samsung and Visa to showcase NFC mobile payment app for London Olympics at MWC

Samsung and Visa has announced the official mobile payments application of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. They confirmed the partnership to introduce NFC payments in 2012 Olympic games last April. The application is based on Visa’s payWave technology that enables contactless payments at the Point of Sale. HTC Ville and Huawei Prism shows up at T-Mobile’s list

Mobile World Congress is right around the corner, and smartphone giants such as HTC are ready to rock’n’roll at the mega event, also carriers like T-Mobile USA are getting ready to introduce new devices because we will be seeing a lot of new devices at MWC. According to a accessory list leaked by Tmo-News, which is telling us that T-Mobile will be launching HTC Ville and Huawei Prism soon as their accessories showed up in the list. HTC One S specs leaked before MWC 2012

HTC is going to be one of the headliners to showcase their devices at MWC this year, they will be showcasing the HTC One series of mobile phones and maybe a couple tablets too. We already know about the HTC One X which will be the first quadcore phone running on Tegra 3. There was no news about the other two One S and One V but now due to some benchmarking done in Nenamark we have come to know some specs of the One S.

ZTE has announced that they would unveil 8 new devices at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) next week. LG Optimus 4X HD with 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 4.7-inch HD display and Android 4.0 announced

LG has announced the Optimus 4X HD, successor of the LG Optimus 2x, the  that was launched last year. It has 4.7-inch True HD IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz Quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash support, 1.3MP secondary camera and is 8.9mm thick . NEC to bring 3 LTE handsets with Android 4.0 to MWC 2012

NEC is a good manufacturer, I remember getting their tablet running touch Windows XP, it was a great device, I also used some of their chips while doing my research on Microprocessors and Micrcontrollers, but they have not been very active in the international markets from quite some time now, but as the mobile industry is booming with the help of Android, NEC have decided to come back to action and will be showcasing three interesting devices this MWC running the latest Android 4.0.
