Aircel has announced that they have partnered with D-Link, popular for its wireless networking device to offer 3G data benefits to its customers across India. This would let customers enjoy 1 GB of free 3G data per month for a period of 3 months for customers who activates Aircel 3G SIM on D-Link data card and DWM-156 and routers such as DWR-512 and DWR-730. Customers however need to make a recharge of Rs. 100 per month post activation to avail the benefits. Aircel has launched Paanch ka Dum, a unique voice pack for Andhra Pradesh customers. It costs just Rs. 5 and would lets the consumers gets select any one of the voice benefit – community calling 5AM to 5PM free, community calling – 1p/ 6 seconds, Half paise local calls, Half paise Local + STD Call and ISD. Aircel, one of the leading mobile operators in India, has followed Reliance Mobile’s footsteps by launching a new and cheap tariff for 3G data plans. The 3G data pack rates have almost been halved in this case, and now are even more affordable. It used to cost Rs. 250 for 1GB of data in the Chennai circle, but now it is just Rs. 128 and the data pack rates slightly vary for other regions. There is also a new Pocket Internet Rs. 27 data pack that offers unlimited 2G/3G data for 7 days, with a FUP of 750 MB. The new tariff is much needed for rapid uptake in 3G and we think we will see it happen once all the operators introduce this new pack. Check after the break for the complete breakdown of the tariff.

Aircel has launched two new rate cutters for pre-paid customers in Delhi that offers local calling rates 90% less at 10p/min. These packs are price at Rs. 27 and Rs. 11 respectively. The Rs. 27 pack offers all local calls at 10p/min for first 100 minutes and post that 40 paise per minute. It comes with a validity for 21 days.
