Airtel Black combines Postpaid, Broadband & DTH under a single connection

Airtel has launched Airtel Black that lets bundle 2 or more of Airtel services (Fiber, DTH, Mobile) together. This entitles the customer to one single bill, one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues, says the company. This doesn’t have any additional costs or installation cost, and  comes with free service visits for life. The company launched a similar plan last year for select circles. Airtel launches Rs. 456 prepaid pack with 50GB data with no daily data limit, 60 days validity

Soon after Jio launched its Freedom Plans with no daily data limit, Airtel has launched a new Rs. 456 that doesn’t have a daily data limit so that customers can use the 50GB data that comes with the plan any time within the 60 days validity that comes with the plan. It offers unlimited voice, 100 SMS per day and Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition Free Trial, Airtel Xstream Premium, Wynk Music and cashback on FASTag. Airtel begins mid-band 5G trials in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub

After receiving approval from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to begin 5G trials in India last month, Airtel has begun rolling out their mid-band 5G trial network in Gurgaon’s Cyber Hub. The test is being conducted on the 3500 MHz band and is utilizing 5G networking gear from Ericsson.

Airtel deploys additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in 1800 MHz band in Karnataka to enhance network coverage

After Tamil Nadu, Airtel today announced that it has also upgraded its mobile network in Karnataka by deploying an additional 11.2 Mhz spectrum in the 1800 Mhz band along with advance network software tools across its network in Karnataka to significantly bolster high speed data capacity. This will enable improved network availability and data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in cities and urban areas, said the company. Airtel adds additional 5MHz spectrum in 1800MHz band in Tamil Nadu to enhance network coverage

Airtel, one of India’s largest cellular network companies, has announced an upgrade to its Tamil Nadu network with the addition of 5MHz in the 1800 MHz band. This brings Airtel’s total spectrum bank in Tamil Nadu to 65MHz, which is one of the largest among cellular network carriers in the state.

Telecom Spectrum Auction 2021: Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea win spectrum as auction raises Rs. 77814 crore for Govt

The Department of Telecom (DoT) has announced the winners in the 2021 spectrum auction in various circles that ended after 2 days. At the end of the auction government got bids worth Rs. 77,814.80 core with Rs. 77,146 raised on the first day after four rounds and Rs 668.20 crore raised in the two rounds on the second day. This substantially exceeded pre-bid estimates of Rs. 45,000 crore.  Bharti Airtel Ltd, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio took part in the auction. Airtel and Qualcomm partner for 5G services in India

Bharti Airtel recently demonstrated and orchestrate live 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Today Airtel has announced that it has partnered with Qualcomm for accelerating 5G in India. Through Airtel’s network vendors and device partners, Airtel will utilize the Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms to roll out virtualized and Open RAN-based 5G networks. Airtel says its network is 5G ready; successfully demonstrates live 5G services in Hyderabad

Airtel today announced that it has become the country’s first telcom performance to successfully demonstrate and orchestrate live 5G service over a commercial network in Hyderabad city. Airtel said that this has been carried out over its existing liberalised spectrum in the 1800MHz band through the NSA (Non Stand Alone) network technology using Ericsson 4G (DSS) radio infrastructure on OPPO Reno5 Pro and OPPO Find X2 Pro smartphones. Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition launched in India at Rs. 89 per month

Amazon Prime Video has launched Prime Video Mobile Edition, a new single-user, mobile-only plan at an introductory price of Rs. 89 per month first time in India.  The plan provides SD quality streaming through the Prime Video app on Android or iOS, which the company says is created especially for a mobile-first country like India. Airtel enhances 4G services in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with the launch of 2300km undersea optical fibre cable project

Airtel today announced that it is the first mobile operator to launch ‘Ultra-Fast 4G’ services in Andaman and Nicobar, after launching 4G services in the island back in January last year.
