Airtel launches new Rs. 179 prepaid bundle with truly unlimited calls, life insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh

Airtel has launched new Rs. 179 pre-paid bundle with built-in Bharti Axa Life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh, unlimited calling to any network, 2GB data, 300 SMS and a validity of 28 days. It also includes Airtel Xstream App Premium and Wynk Music. The company already offers Rs. 149 with similar benefits, but without life insurance. Airtel WiFi Calling now available across India; crosses 1 million users

Earlier last month, Airtel rolled out VoWiFi a.k.a Wi-Fi Calling in Delhi and gradually expanded to other cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore. The company later officially launched the service and made it available in many cities. Now, Airtel has officially announced that its Wi-Fi Calling service is available across India and has crossed 1 million users.

Airtel Wi-Fi Calling launched in more circles, now supports more devices, works on non-Airtel broadband connection

Last month Airtel rolled out Voice over Wi-Fi services officially starting from Delhi NCR, later it expanded to Mumbai, Kolkata,Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Today the company has launched Wi-Fi Calling in Kerala, Gujarat, UP (West), Maharashtra, UP (East), Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. Previously it was compatible only with Airtel Xstream Fiber home broadband, now it works with all broadband services and Wi-Fi hotspots, even though the site still says it works only on Airtel broadband. The company is also expanding its services in remote villages gradually and on similar lines now, Airtel has launched 4G and 2G services in 26 villages in Ladakh and becomes the first operator to bring high-speed internet to these villages.

Airtel launches new Rs. 379 plan with truly unlimited calls, 84 days validity

Airtel has launched new Rs. 379 plan that offers truly unlimited calls and 84 days validity, but this doesn’t offer daily data, instead users only get 6GB of data and 900 SMS. It also includes Airtel Xstream App Premium, Wynk Music and cashback on FASTag. This is similar to Vodafone’s plan that offer similar benefits at the same cost, but with 1000 SMS. Reliance Jio offers the plan at Rs. 329, but it only offers Jio to Jio Unlimited calling, and bundles Jio to Non-Jio FUP of 3000 minutes. Airtel revises Rs. 558 prepaid plan with 3GB data/day and 56 days validity

Earlier this month, telecom operators Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Reliance Jio revised their prepaid plans and later they introduced unlimited calling to any operators. Now, Airtel has again revised some of the plans and has reintroduced the Rs. 558 prepaid plan with reduced validity, and is offering Amazon Prime membership with Rs. 349 prepaid plan.

Airtel to offer unlimited calling to other networks with all unlimited plans starting December 7 [Update: New Plans]

Update: Airtel has announced 3 new Truly Unlimited Plans – Rs. 219, Rs. 399, and Rs. 449.

  • Rs. 219 – Unlimited calling on any network, 1 GB/day data, 100 SMS/day, 28 days validity
  • Rs. 399 – Unlimited calling on any network, 1.5 GB/day data, 100 SMS/day, 56 days validity
  • Rs. 449 – Unlimited calling on any network, 2 GB/day data, 90 SMS/day, 56 days validity.

Alongside the new truly unlimited plans, all existing unlimited plans will offer unlimited calls to other networks in India without any FUP.

Airtel increases prepaid tariff rates, will charge 6 paise per minute for calls to other mobile operators

Shortly after Vodafone Idea announced their new prepaid plans, Bharati Airtel has now released their new prepaid tariff. The new plans represent a hike in tariff between 50 paise per day to Rs 2.85 per day.
