Rcom offers free Facebook access on Fridays for its prepaid GSM customers
Reliance Communications (Rcom) has launched Free Facebook Fridays offer for its prepaid GSM customers that enables them to access Facebook for free without any data charges, account balance or deductions from their preferred data pack on Fridays. It is not clear if this offer is for a limited period. Rcom had already launched several offers, including free Twitter access for three months, and Facebook and WhatsApp packs and more. Reliance Jio to begin expanded 4G trials in August, phased launch in 2015 across India
Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) would begin 4G rollout in phased manner in 2015. This was announced by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries at its 40th Annual General Meeting today. The company would begin expanded trials in August across multiple cities, which would continue through the end of 2014 and early 2015. Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C in India as they promised. We reported that the operator plans to launch these phones in India with attractive plans with a 2 year contract. Now the company has detailed those plans. The company has announced two new offers, Rs. 2,599 per month for the iPhone 5c and Rs 2,999 per month for the iPhone 5s with a 24 month contract. This include the handset cost, unlimited local and STD calls, SMS’, national roaming and 3G data. This makes RCOM the first company to launch the iPhone with no down payment plans.

Reliance Communications (RCom) has launched International Roaming Pack – Awesome America for its post-paid GSM customers.Reliance says that the pack would save up to 98% on data usage and up to 76% on voice calls while travelling to America. The pack costs Rs. 849 and comes with a validity for 30 days. You pay Rs. 10 for 1 MB of data usage while roaming in the United States. RCOM to offer Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c in India from Nov 1st
Reliance Communications RCOM announced today that it would offer the Apple iPhone 5C and iPhone 5C on the Reliance 3G network starting from November 1st. Apple had announced few days back that it is launching the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s in India and this news from Indian operators does not come as a surprise.The iPhone 5S is powered by a 64-bit processor and packs a better camera and a TouchID fingerprint sensor. The iPhone 5C is just the iPhone 5 wrapped in a colorful plastic shell but is priced slightly below the iPhone 5s.

Reliance Jio to increase headcount, reveals 4G plans
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of the Reliance Industries has revealed details about the Reliance Jio and 4G launch plans at the 39th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai today. Last year the company first revealed its plans for 4G. Now the company has revealed that they would increase the Reliance Jio Infocomm team by nearly 10,000 professionals nationally over the next year.
