Reliance ties up with Aircel for 2G Intra-circle roaming

Reliance Communications has announced plans to expand its pan-India 2G network through 2G GSM Intra-Circle roaming agreements with existing operators to improve their network coverage. The company has announced that they have signed a pan-India 2G GSM ICR agreement with Aircel. They are in talks with several operators across the country for similar agreements. This pack offers unlimited free Twitter access for 3 months for GSM customers without any extra cost. The company launched My College plan for pre-paid GSM customers last year that offered unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp and offered Unlimited Facebook and Facebook Messenger access at Rs. 16 per month few months back. Reliance to test voice services on 4G networks

Coming from an Economic Times article, it looks like Reliance Industries limited (RIL) is all set to get approval from the telecom department (DoT) for testing voice services on its yet-to-be-launched 4G networks. This comes as a surprise as Airtel has been the only 4G player as of now, with limited network distribution.

Reliance launches new 3G Android tablet for Rs. 14,499

Reliance Communications has launched Reliance 3G Tab, a new 3G Android tablet, upgraded version of their previous tablet that was launched last year. It is manufactured by ZTE and has 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1.4GHz processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Reliance Communications (RCOM) has launched new Netconnect 3G data plan called My Best Plan, that is said to offer over 90% saving per month compared to other plans available in the market. The My Best Plan would offer 1 GB 3G data for Rs. 250 per month and 2 GB of 3G data for Rs. 450 per month and 6 GB of 3G data at speeds upto 21Mbps for Rs. 1250 and unlimited usage (speed throttled to 64 Kbps) beyond 6 GB at no extra cost. Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) according to Economic Times. Reliance Industries bought 95% stake in Infotel Broadband in June 2010 which is is the only firm to win broadband spectrum in all 22 circles in India. Reliance partners with Google, offers 1GB free 3G Data for Android phones

Reliance Communications (RCOM) and Google has entered into a two-year deal to market the Android mobile operating system and Google Mobile Services in order to promote the usage of Android devices in India. Reliance becomes the first telecom operator in the country to collaborate with Google. They offer 1GB of free 3G data usage for one month to all Android device users in India.
