Samsung G9098 dual-screen Android flip phone goes official in China

Samsung has made SM-G9098, their latest Android smartphone with dual displays official on their Chinese website. It got certified in China last month and packs a 3.67-inch (320 x 480 pixels) dual Super AMOLED touch screen displays, one on the front and the the other on the inside. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core processor (probably Snapdragon 800), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and leather finish on the back. ZTE Star 1 with 5-inch 1080p display, Android 4.4 and LTE announced

ZTE has launched ZTE Star 1, a mid-range smartphone with LTE support in China. It has a 5-inch full HD display, powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor and runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with custom skin on top. OnePlus One is an upcoming smartphone from a Chinese manufacturer OnePlus. Samsung has introduced the Galaxy S5 (SM-G9009D) with dual SIM support in China. This would have 2G GSM support and 3G CDMA support for local operator China Telecom. Other than the network difference, all the other features are similar to the global variant of the Galaxy S5, including a 5.1-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and Android 4.4  (KitKat) OS. Xiaomi has announced Redmi Note, the successor of the Redmi / Red Rice smartphone in China. It was confirmed earlier this week and comes with a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology and 178-degree wide viewing angle, powered by a 1.4 GHz / 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with 28mm lens with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei Ascend P6 starts getting Android 4.4 KitKat in China

Huawei Ascend P6 was the phone that was supposed to push Huawei into the International market as a notable manufacturer, but it din’t succeed as much as they company would have loved. But nevertheless, it was a great phone with exceptional build quality. The Huawei Ascend P6 was launched with Android 4.2.2 Jellybean on board overlaid by Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6. Huawei had assured us that they would be upgrading the device to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and true to their word, they have already started rolling out the update in China.

Oppo Find 7 images leak online

Oppo had teased about their upcoming flagship – Find 7, sometime before the CES 2014, but they did not showcase the 2K display device at CES 2014. Now, just before the MWC 2014, we are having leaks of the Oppo Find 7 and there is so information to be taken in before you read further. Rumors point to two variants of Find 7 and one variant will have a 2K QHD display while the other variant will bear a Full HD display.

Apple Might Be Cutting iPhone 5C Production

Reports say that Apple might be reducing the production of it’s iPhone 5C by 50% – from 300,000 units to 150,000 units. The source which leaked of the iPhone 5S and 5C before their announcements, claims that the reason behind this is the fall in the Grey market pricing for the phone.

But it didn’t take long to see that these are plain misconceptions, especially with devices like the Oppo Find 5. The Meizu MX2 invoked similar reactions from us, as we were starting to use and test this gorgeous device. As a company that has been widely known for making iPhone clones like the M8, the Meizu MX was a refreshing change and a departure from the cloning legacy, and the MX2 is an improvement upon its predecessor in good measure. ZTE N880E running Android 4.1 launched in China

ZTE has launched ZTE N880E in China. It is the first smartphone to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in China. It has 4.0-inch (480 x 80o pixels) capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm processor. It has metallic finish and comes with 3.2MP Auto focus camera and is just 10.4mm thick. Meizu MX Quad-core, successor of the Meizu MX would go on sale in Mainland China and Hong Kong on June 30, 2012. Lenovo has launched LePhone K800 powered by 1.6GHz high-performance Intel Atom processor and 400MHz GPU in China. It was announced at CES 2012 earlier this year. It has 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD TFT LCD touch screen display, 8MP camera with 1080p HD video recording and Dual LED flash, 1.3MP front facing camera.
