Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 7 Pro with OxygenOS port

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone in India back in February last year running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). The smartphone has already started receiving Android 10 update along with MIUI 12 in India, but limited to Pilot testers only for now. Redmi Note series devices usually have a great custom ROM development, and Redmi Note 7 series is no exception to the family.

Oxygen OS is amongst popular Android skin that offers smooth experience along with a decent amount of customizations without much bloatware. A couple of months ago, we had tried Android 10 based Oxygen OS ported ROM on our Redmi Note 7  (lavender). Recently developers ported Android 10 based Oxygen OS to Redmi Note 7 Pro (Violet), we tried it on our unit and here is our review of the same.

Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 8 with Pixel Experience Plus

Xiaomi’s Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 8 series in the country back in October running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and later rolled out MIUI 11 update to both the smartphones. The Pro variant has been the talk of the town since it is superior to the vanilla Redmi Note 8 in almost every aspect, except for the development aspect, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 8 with Extended UI

Xiaomi’s Redmi unveiled the Redmi Note 8 series in the country back in October running MIUI 10.3 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and later rolled out MIUI 11 update to both the smartphones. The Pro variant has been the talk of the town since it is superior to the vanilla Redmi Note 8 in every aspect, but Redmi Note 8 has better custom ROM and mods support compared to its Pro sibling, thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has already received Android 10 update but Redmi Note 8 still runs on Android 9, but you can always install a custom ROM to stay on the latest version of Android. Redmi Note 8 Pro finally gets official Pixel Experience support

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 series in India back in October. To recall, Redmi Note 8 Pro was the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the gaming-focused MediaTek Helio G90T SoC. Android 10 based LineageOS 17.1 Overview and First Impressions on POCO F1

LineageOS is a popular OS amongst custom ROM enthusiasts. LineageOS team recently announced LineageOS 17.1, which uses Android 10 as the base and dropped LineageOS 17.1 for quite a few devices including POCO F1, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 7Pro. Android 10 based LineageOS 17.1 Official now available for several devices including POCO F1

LineageOS, the fork of most popular Custom ROM of its time CyanogenMod, is popular amongst custom ROMs enthusiasts. LineageOS team recently announced LineageOS 17.1 and dropped LineageOS 17.1 build for quite a few popular devices including POCO F1. LineageOS 17.1 uses Android 10 as the base, and the team behind had been working on the project since Android 10 announcement in September 2019 but the Permission Hub feature in AOSP conflicted with the Privacy Guard feature available in LineageOS causing the unforeseen delay and making the development team release LineageOS 17.1 instead of 17.0.

POCO X2 gets Android 10 based Paranoid Android Alpha build

POCO made a comeback in the Indian market as an independent brand and launched the POCO X2 (codename ‘pheonixin’), its first mid-range smartphone in the new X series in India earlier this month. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7 smartphone in India last year in February running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie) and launched the updated Redmi Note 7S with 48 MP rear camera later in May running MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 (Pie). Get Android 10 on POCO F1 with Nitrogen OS

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and later updated it to Android 9.0 in December 2018. The device recently received Android 10 update. POCO F1 (beryllium) has one of the most active developer community and as a result, we have plenty of Android 10-based custom ROMs for the device. Get Android 10 on Redmi Note 5 Pro with OxygenOS port

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro was amongst best-selling devices in 2018, launched with Android Nougat, it received Android 8.1 (Oreo) update in June 2018. The company rolled out Android 9.0 (Pie) update to the smartphone back in May 2019, the device is almost 2 years old now and has already received two Android updates. It is almost certain that Xiaomi will not update the Android version on the Redmi Note 5 Pro, but in case you own a Redmi Note 5 Pro and wish to keep your device updated with the latest Android version, you may try a custom ROM.
